Thank God the Rams have done ****. The worse SB half I can remember. My memory is not good. Who is the Pats backup QB, that's right we traded him for nothing.
It feels like McDaniels and Brady are running the offense right into the teeth of the Rams defense.
The Rams are really well coached and are keyed on NE’s tendencies. They’re chipping TEs and RBs releasing into the flat and keying on screens and draws. I’m surprised they didn’t break tendency and try to catch LAR guessing.
10+ yards down the field is where plays are to be made.
If they can get up 10+ points Suh, Donald, Peters and Talib will start to make some mental mistakes.
It also seems Brady is making some poor decisions with the ball. Holding it when he should release it, and other times throwing it too early. That strip sack probably rattled him a bit. Just need to settle in.
Well, the Rams did nothing with what the Patriots gave them. The Patriots cannot expect to keep making mistakes and getting away with it. The defense was superb. In a lot of ways, the Rams' tight formations works to the Patriots' benefit. More defenders in a smaller space without a big outside threat since Gurley is hurt doesn't work.
Brady is struggling so far. Let's hope he comes out sharper in the second half. I think we'll see more of James White who was mostly blocking pass rushers when he was in there. It's good to see Gronk featured in this one. Keep feeding the big man.
Alvin Kamara abused Littleton in the NFC championship game. I'm really surprised we haven't tried White out on him. Brady just seems a bit rattled - has a tiny bit more time to get through his progressions.
I also wonder about using Patterson a bit more. He's got the speed and size to threaten on the outside if the middle is bottled up.
