And yet, I see a lot of similarities from SB 36. Rams also have a high flying offense. Goff is not as potent as Warner was though. The formula for success to stopping or slowing the rams offense remains the same.

I wonder if this game plan will be the opposite - stop the run at all costs and dare Goff to beat us through the air.

I'm early in my number crunching but vs top 15 pass defenses Goff is substandard.

Credit to him though, people were calling him a bust back when he had no line and Jeff Fisher who was years past mailing it in.

Big legacy game for him, either be a small foot note or a big part of history. Hell, is Matt Ryan a Hall of Famer if they get that field goal at the end?

No, I think the standard is winning two Super Bowls. IIRC Plunkett is the only QB with 2 SB wins who is eligible who is not in the HOF... Eli should be the second but likely will make it based on his genes and family name....

Agree. Goff is pretty good. He made some big boy throws vs NO. At this point I think he is an above average QB- not a top 5. Hes most likely top 10.

Ryan? Hmmm. HoF? I dunnna know. Tough one if he has the ring.

I engaged in a lively but friendly debate with a Gints fan in a NYC bar a few weeks ago. I argued because of the 2x SB and the volume of stats Eli was a borderline HoF QB.

He thought I was nuts. He thought Eli was barely average.

I agree with the fan. Other than 2 years of catching lightning in a bottle, (4-0 twice) he has 4 one and dones.
His won loss is 116-114 and TD/int is 360:239 or barely 1.5 to 1.
Only Namath is close in W/L percentage and in the HOF. And Eli is no Namath.
Take Eli out of NY and name him Smith and there is no discussion, not even close to HOF worthy..

He seems to get a lot more decision support from his coach than most QB's. The Pats are going to change their defensive look from 1-3 times after his earpiece is cut off @15 seconds, every snap. Here's hoping that Belichick and Flores sew massive seeds of confusion and doubt.

Lol BB is 35 years older than Sean McVay. Brady is older than Sean McVay. This should be fun

This is Brady's 40th post-season game. That is basically 2.5 extra YEARS of football. That is absolutely nuts.

Brady is 9 years older than Sean McVay lolol

Most people throw Rivers into the Hall of Fame (who I think needs a little more but is great as I mentioned before). Not sure Matt Ryan is worse and he has an MVP and if he had that ring, damn.
