Pre Super Bowl Thread- On to the Rams

The Rams are, talent-wise, very strong on the interior DL and at CB. They are weak at LB.

Which is why I find it interesting that during the season they gave up 5.1 yards per game on the ground. If the pats can get the run going like they did against the chiefs, their pass rush shouldnt be much of a concern

Rather than using three safeties like they usually do, the Patriots spent most of yesterday's game with four CBs on the field (Gilmore, Jackson, Jones/Crossen, JMcCourty). Third safety Duron Harmon played just two snaps after averaging 43 per game during the regular season.
I'm glad they did this. They really needed McCourty over the top, not Harmon.

I don't know what we would have done if we lost McCourty in that game with the woman beaters speed. Harmon would have been exposed.

To be fair, Romo had the advantage of seeing it from Above. If they allowed DCs to be at the same vantage point to call defenses, I'm sure things would be different.

But he is able to do this all presnap which means there are keys that he saw during his prep work for the game as an announcer.

I mean look at this:

He tells you the entire play (including the motion) just by tendencies from checking. How the KC defense is not prepared for that on the same level as the CBS color guy only Sutton knows.

Ever since Cupp went down Rams aren't the powerhouse offensively they were after the Chiefs game

Bingo. Cupp was/is the lynchpin of that offense. He is the Edelman for the Rams. It was a huge loss when he went down. Huge.

Biggest test is behind. Would've liked both matchups. Would prefer Saints bc they were getting weaker/banged up and bc i like them.

In all the epics . people forget how dominant Pats were yesterday until they unnecessarily shot themselves in the foot and invited KC back in the game. To win @ Arrowhead with basically -3 TO differential vs uninhibited young QB monster and load of elite healthy weapons is insane dominance imo..

Happy we never have to hear about the Miami Miracle garbage again since it ended up not mattering for us and meant worse drafting position for Miami.

tbh - it won't matter much for them either . unless they go QB and would have to move up. Being without coaching staff for a month more - in a rebuild mode - could prove more costly..

Id guess BB is happy Pats postseason runs keep teams away from fishing in his pond even more..

I'd have to say that other than the two Super Bowl wins (Seattle and Atlanta) the win against the Chiefs was my favorite Pat game ever...it almost killed me, but looking back, I loved it....I do want a blow out in the Super Bowl however!!!!!!

Wade Phillips’s defenses have already beaten us in the AFCCG twice. We really need to stop Donald, Suh, and Brockers.

Wade Phillips defenses beat the patriots once in the AFC championship. And that was a defense that was historically great. One of the best of all time and they were home, and we were banged up.

My point is that this rams D is no where close to that, and if line stops suh Donald and brockers, it’s going to be a long night for the rams
