You won't do all at the same time. Gilmore (if he has Hill) and Chung (on TE) are good enough that they can take their guy 1-1 sometimes when pressure is sent and get help when it isn't. Of course, last time Gilmore got Watkins so we'll see how that goes.
I agree with that. I think the post I quoted was more implying that the plan for the game would be to do those things simultaneously, but I gotcha.

Yeah I’d wonder if gilmore or jc would be the better matchup on hill. Jc did a great job on juju

The problem is that Hill is a different beast than all the others. So quick and fast. The freezing cold may help defend him but I may go with something like last time, Gilmore on Watkins, Chung on Kelce (take my chances 1-1 a lot) and JC on Hill (JC over JMac from the start of last game) with the double to help JC.

Who does the 10 degree weather favor?

Mahomes played in 17 degree weather last year in DEN and did just fine.

We all know Tom's history in big games.

I'm thinking the weather is a wash.

I dont see the same defensive game plan being used.

1. They scored 40 on us last time.
2. Gotta go with something they dont have film on yet.

Me thinks Belichick will look at what LAC and IND did effectively and use that as the blueprint while accouting for our personnel of course.

A spy on Mahones (KVN) with our best defensive backs on Hill and Kelce are what I’d expect.

The Chiefs players will play it off all week to the media that they are confident going into next weekend's game. But behind close doors, there will be some doubt, especially after their division opponent getting demolished yesterday.

I like our run D better than theirs...so if the cold forces both teams to run the ball it's to our advantage.

I agree. Makes sense.

Not sure about Sony in the cold but he did kinda ok yesterday

Pats did great yesterday and that pass rush was better than what I have seen in years.

Pats are absolutely abysmal on the road so and they are up against a 7-1 home team. I said after they lost in comical fashion in Miami that would cost them them a chance at the SB. No way they are taking their 3-5 road record into KC and winning.
The team has evolved over the last 5 weeks. No one is sayoing that it is a sure bet that the Pats win in Arrowhead, BUT they do have a chance. I agree its probbaly less than 50%. Arrowhead under normal circumstances is a brutally difficult place to play. The Chiefs and Andy Reid will be hungry for the Super Bowl. Maohomes is truly outstanding.
However I am hopeful that short throws underneath to running backs and edelman and dorsett will give the linebackers fits. The Choefs will score points NO doubt about it. But I think Pats can put up points as well. Best chance is if its like a 35-31 game

It was his first ever start so I'm not going to hold it against him. But he had a QB rating of 76.4. If he had that rating for this season it would have put him between Sam Darnold and Josh Allen for the year.

It's a totally invalid point as it's one game and his first ever start in a meaningless games mostly with backups . . . but, no, he really didn't do "just fine".

Could be the coldest game in Arrowhead history...Mahomes better bring his mittens lol.

Arctic blast due to hit KC for AFC championship game

The ball wasn't flying out of his hands was my point. He was able to grip it and throw downfield. He was a rookie in DEN so for a 1srt start in 17 degree weather he did fine.

We have the guys to play tight man to man coverage on these receivers. That and doubling hill and absolutely not losing him. Pat mahomes is fairly new to the nfl so maybe bill can do a good job of disguising the coverages to confuse him.
