Oh boy, here we go again.

While much of the culture has changed in Indy, the ownership still hasn’t. Looks like it’s banner SZN yet again.

Jesus.

Go Chiefs.

Jesus.

Go Chiefs.
They make it nearly impossible to root for them even when a win for them will help your own teams chances at a SB appearance. God damn that is tough to do and yet they ****ing make it happen!

Note to Colts PR dude or dudette, when Jim calls at 4am and says "I gotha ghreath ****ing ide...burp...idea, letsz get a flag....and put ****in 1-0 on it...cause why....we are 1-0 in the playoffz...brilliant!" Just hang up he won't remember and your team can slowly start getting some dignity back!

It’s all the damn ownership and fanbase.

Nothing to even do with the team itself crazily enough.

It could go either way I think. Unlike KC, the colts are a dome team and they can't run the ball all night. They'll have to pass at some point and if their receivers can't catch a slick ball or they lose their traction on the turf then it'll be a problem for them. KC can run the rock as well with Damian Williams.

Current forecast for the Colts @Chiefs is mid-30s and dry.

Williams hasn't been exactly stellar for the past three games since Spencer Ware has been out. The Colts run-D is probably better than any that the Chiefs have faced recently.

I think it will actually favor the Colts. Mahones will not be able to rely on his legs so much to bail him out if protection breaks down.

If he has to stand in the pocket, his efficiency % takes a nosedive.

Luck on the other hand, is excellent in the pocket.

Mahomes is one of the highest rated passers from the pocket. 50 touchdowns and 5000 yards isn’t a gimmick

The Colts aren’t a great pass rushing team, so Mahomes should have plenty of time to throw, as will Andrew Luck. I think it’s going to be a shootout in the 30s

Uhhhhh... you sure about that?

You want to go to KC? Didn’t we learn this lesson in 2015?

I am not planning on a trip to KC. I don't think the Pats have planned that far ahead yet either.

Chiefs win. Only Andy R can mess this up. Unfortunately for KC, he might...

By my count, 28 of his 50 touchdowns came from inside the pocket (this doesn’t count additional screen passes or shovel passes).

He’s comfortable there, and has the arm to work from the pocket. Saturday’s game is a battle between two athletic, strong armed pocket passers.

TDs and ratings are two different things...just sayin.

Not sure about that. Snow usually favors the team with the better defense and ground game. I would actually think that favors the Colts. Not that I don't think Mahomes can still sling it in snow. I think he could probably throw through a hurricane. But it will still slow down the passing game on both sides.
This. If it becomes an ugly game, I believe that favors the colts. Let it snow

This only rates “young” QBs, but gives a good picture

The Steelers and Rams “kept Mahomes in the pocket” and paid the price (thankfully LAR had Aaron Donald to cause key turnovers)

He's completing 47% of his passes from the pocket when he has to stay in there for more than 3 seconds. Put another way, when his first read is open, he's able to hit him. When his first read isn't open and he's kept in the pocket, he suffers. It disputes the original statement that I bolded in your post.

Most quarterbacks don’t have 3 seconds to throw. They’re expected to get the throw off in less than 3 seconds. Mahomes has 50 touchdowns and 5000 yards because he has been very good at reading the defense and going through his progressions quickly like other elite quarterbacks

Teams have thrown the kitchen sink at Mahomes all year but he’s been the most consistent quarterback in the league so far

Nobody is disputing that Mahomes is very good. He is. But his last two games of the regular season have seen his completion percentage fall. He is what every good QB is - a product of the weapons he has around him. He's benefitted all year from Tyreek Hill's ability to get behind the defense and do it quickly. When that doesn't happen and Kelce is doubled, he finds himself in trouble and its often led to a turnover.

Pats fans wanting the Chiefs to win are pretty stupid.

You'd rather potentially play an AFC Championship game on the road where you've sucked all year than play the Colts at home?
