Belichick is great and the bestest ever. The fact you mock that explains a lot.
Sure he is. But he’s still made his fair share of mistakes. This roster is one of them. Luckily for us, he’s quicker to admit to his own mistakes than some of you are.
I've given plenty of Xs and Os through the years again I don't feel the need to prove myself to you or get in pissing matches with you over it.
But to answer your questions:
Dorsett will likely be called on to fill in for Gordon. Gronk, Edelman, and White will obviously be the real keys as Brady will lean on them more. He's done more with much less before.
Dorsett is not going to give us what Gordon did. If he had, Gordon wouldn’t have been signed in the first place. Dorsett’s snap count has also gotten lower and lower each week. Gronk is getting doubled and tripled every game and Edelman is nursing a foot injury and will be subject to even more defensive attention now. The team no longer has a true #1 wideout.
To fix the run would require more commitment to it and that would start with dressing Shelton.
Awful synopsis here for two reasons:
1. You don’t think Belichick is committing to stopping the run? The greatest coach of all time? If that’s the case, he and Flores should be fired tomorrow.
2. Shelton is not fixing that mess. If he could, he wouldn’t have been a healthy scratch the last couple of weeks. Shelton sucks. Another personnel failure by Billy B. this offseason.
Then play more out 4/3 and 3/4. And most importantly they need to 2 gap better.
Another awful analysis. The DTs simply are not capable of two gapping at a level even approaching competent. That’s the reason the DL has needed to one gap so often this year.
The interior DL seems to be shading to one side too often and not covering both gaps.
This literally does not mean anything. D-Lines have gap responsibilities but do not “shade to one side” or the other.
However I don't think this is BB's biggest priority I think he'll continue worry more about passing and play out of nickel and dime just as much. When the O is at it's best this strategy has a good success rate.
Huge WTF here. BB is worrying about both. If he doesn’t, he has no business coaching the team. The problem is that the team doesn’t have the personnel to stop the run either out of the nickel/dime OR the 43/34. It’s personnel. That’s the problem. That personnel was assembled by Bill Belichick. So the fatal flaws that this team possesses stop at his feet.
