You’re right it’s been 10 months since he threw for 500 yards in superbowl and won nfl mvp. Clearly he’s cooked. Give me a break. This loss is on the pre-snap penalties and holds.

And drops.

All good things have to end and no one player well. D was okay today but overall they are awful. Brady is clearly losing it and i don't think he has much longer at this rare. The O line didn't do do him and favors tbough.

Usually this team is so much more disciplined. I wonder if the players are tuning Belichick out. Something isn't right...
It seems our main players are all out of form at the same time - Brady, Gronkowski, and Edelman. Brady is not the undisputed best player on the field anymore. Hope he regains form soon.

He wasn’t great but damn, hard to find a rhythm and get going when every other play is a pentalty.

The playcalls doesn't help
Josh should be fired tonight. He's a loser coach weak mentality.those quick screens to Edelman are embarrassing
Agree playcalling was bad not fired but hire a second voice.
Maybe Kliff Kingsbury or Deflippio.

Brady is a completely serviceable qb and could be until forever most likely.

I'm not comparing him to that, I'm comparing him to him self. Hes been off and to not be concerned with is is turning a blind eye for no reason.
I don’t get “concerned” about anything sports related, and I’m a huge Boston sports fan.

My god it’s been a frustrating season so far. To many stupid penalties that have cost us really at the end of the day.

This team is hopeless on the road. Overall an awful year, losing to every bad team that we should beat handily.

BB's first mistake was benching butler in the sb. His second mistake was not cleaning house and not getting rid of everybody on the team not named gronk and Brady.

Loyalty goes a long ways in the NFL. To completely shut down a guy who participated in 99% of the snaps all season long sends a bad message to other players.

The D only gave up 17! They’re so good

Let’s ignore the missed FG, the INT right at Harmon, the crippling FG allowed at the end and keeping Brady off the field

Both sides of the ball sucked hard. The talent just isn’t where it has been recently.

Pats are going to get smoked by someone in early January.

Steelers averaged 26.2 PPG prior to this game, so I don't think the D is where you look for scapegoats in this game. Offense first, refs second. Then the D.

A wild card game isn’t fixing the issues on offense or defense. It goes much deeper than that. They’ll win that game, get their asses kicked in the divisional round, and then they’ll have to concentrate on re-tooling this roster. There are some wholesale changes that need to be made on both sides of the ball.
The question is, will the changes actually be made?

Will BB try to substitute size for speed at LB?

Will he revamp the D-line with actual talent rather than busts from other teams?

Will he inject some youth at WR?

Allowing only 17 points to a team which normally scores 27 is not awful

No one expected the Pats long championship run would go on forever. The team is aging and picking at the back end of the draft each year takes a toll. The way they are playing now, even the last two games against the Jests and Jills could be tough. A wild card loss at Gillette is not out of the question either. There are so many holes and vet players who are on their last legs that a rebuild will be a multi-year task. Wonder how long BB will last (will he retire?) and whether McDaniels will move on. TB12 is definitely on the back side of the hill. He can bring occasional flashes of his brilliant play but he can't do it consistently any more and there is nobody being groomed as his replacement. Let's face it, the Pats have slid from a championship team to a good team.

Blame Brady because his receivers can’t catch. Blame him because the refs hosed our ass when we got near the end zone. Blame him for letting a 3rd round rb look like leveon. Brady was not our problem today

Not to mention three or four absolutely brutal drops.

Brady wasn’t the problem today.

No but if we are honest he wasn't the solution either. He has become just mortal enough to be unable to carry a not quite talented enough team when it self immolates.
