Post Game Thread: Titans beat the Pats

Do you think it's awkward that of late when we face a low end/mid team Bills/Titans horrible effort/lack of energy but when we face a team like KC or GB we look like our old selves?

We just won 6 in a row, so I don't want to panic too much off this loss, but there definitely has been some concerning signs with this years team, especially on the defensive side of the ball and it also surprises me how much we have struggled on the road this year.

Yea the time is now, the Jets game after the bye is the last of November.

Did anyone else notice that all the Titan receivers looked like TEs while all the Pats DBs looked like slot corners? There’s a serious lack of size in the Patriots defensive backfield.

The Titans copied the Jaguars game plan from week 2 running a lot of rub routes springing receivers free all game long. The Pats DBs are just not physical enough to fight through picks, so the Pats play off man coverage which is losing proposition. NFL receivers are too good to be given 10 yards of separation before the ball is even snapped. I’m hoping Obi M. develops into a cover defender big enough to match up with some of the bigger receivers the Pats encounter the rest of the season.

The Titans did an excellent job isolating Patriots OLineman one on one in pass protection. It’s not a strength to begin with but it was especially effective with the Pats 2 best OLineman either out (Mason) or seriously under the weather (Brown). There was constant and quick pressure by the Titans throughout the game.

But, Tom Brady felt more pressure than there actually was. On multiple occasions, I thought he got rid of the ball too early throwing to covered receivers rather than standing in the pocket and wait for a receiver to get open. Since 2001, the only time I’ve seen him do this is when he’s not been healthy. There’s something wrong with the right shoulder, I fear. The two times I saw him visibly flinch in the game was when it appeared his right arm might be hit while in the throwing motion which would definitely aggravate any existing injury.

Obi and Stephen say hi

He is.

They burned a #1 on a RB. They gave Burk decent money. They paid White. They gave Develin $. That is not being cheap.

He just a bitter, prima- donna athlete who felt entitled to more money.

Lewis got paid by the Titans - 4 years at $19.8M with $8.25M guaranteed. Dion Lewis

We have to remember that these are young guys who have emotions like the rest of us. One minute you're a 26-year-old with the Patriots and heading to Super Bowls, the next you are told you are being let go. He's not a Prima Donna, he's human.

Terrell Owens was a Prima Donna.

As I recall, there were about 5 "Predict the Score" contestants that got the winner right, and one of these 5, predicted a score close to this one. I laughed. I'd like to know what exactly drove this "outlandish" prediction... what insider knowledge was known to him--or her.

Most of the rest of us were off by about 30 points minimum. So, this person must have shot way up in the standings, even if wallowing toward the cellar.

The team has struggled on the road, struggled badly on D and has no consistency (due to injuries and no running game) in offense

They’re likely going to miss on a bye. I don’t see how they can be a favorite going into the playoffs

Anything can happen, but in terms of overall talent, they’re not a top 3 or 4 team in talent in the AFC. They will need a lot of luck or their opponents to crap the bed in order to win anything in January

just a bad day. Pees and vrabel know the pats. untimely oline injuries dont help. For some reason this loss barely registered a blip on the radar. It was like a game in miami when nothing works but isnt reflective of the season.

That's the problem, what if we go to Arrowhead? Super Bowl?

Right now? Big fat L. Near any team in the road in the playoffs is an L as if this moment. Post bye, lets see if that changes.

I dont mind if we go on the road and win a playoff game or two. its been too boring beating up on bad teams at home in the playoffs . It will be more fun .
And before everyone worries about KC, they still have to play the rams and the chargers. A lot can happen.

I need some therapy until until the team suits up again. I've got 5 Superbowls and 5 3 Games to Glory's to help me through. Im not going to torture myself by getting anywhere near the local media over the next couple of weeks. I can't stand them after we win let alone lose a game

Are you serious with this?

Dion was not "let go". His contract was up and he was in line for millions of dollars. Its possible the NEP made him offers and he rebuked them. Now hes all bent out of shape because he feels the NEP disrespected him because they didn't match is true market worth. Pu-leze.

He knows goddamn well this is an impersonal business and he took it personally. Sure, hes human but hes coming off as a punk.

All he needed to do was say, "It was great to beat them today. It's like beating your brother." Instead he feels the need to twist the knife because he has a complex.

I'm glad he needs money and to twist knives to ensure he feels better about his self-worth. Loser.

Usually either the offense or defense struggles. Today it was both. Unfortunately neither have been good all yer so the potential for this happening again is high.

Regardless the Super Bowl goes through Kansas City and the Pats aren't beating them there

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen our guys slip and trip so much as they did today.

7 times today and I’m sure I missed a few.

Of course nothing can be done right now but bad bookkeeping hamstrung the team at the trade deadline this year. Also like the last handful of drafts haven't been very fruitful for a number of reasons.

The extra money was given to Brady and Gronk.
