The Pats think Farrow > Webb. Shows how much I know ...

Not necessarily "better". An RB on the PS is the scout-team RB, standing in for a player on the upcoming opponent's squad. Farrow is about 20lbs heavier than Webb ...? IDK.

The Pats reconfigure/customize their PS scout-team a fair amount over the course of the season, swapping guys out for someone else for a week or two, then swapping them back. This could be one of those situations. Only time will tell.

Webb def. has suitors . also the usual Jete

Edelman was once a preseason sensation against second and third teamers. And what about all the undrafted FAs who make the team every year?

There are enough success stories to be excited about some.

And it took a while until he was able to contribute. Nobody is saying that the preseason sensation people won't be able to do meaningful things eventually. But thinking that they have a chance to unseat starters based on how they look in preseason games is just asinine. If they flash in camp they will have snaps with the starters rather sooner than later in practices which is more indicative than anything that happens in those exhibition games.

In the last few years alone.

David Andrews - starter from day one
Malcom Butler - won us the Super Bowl
Jonathan Jones - Key special teams contributor from the start
Adam Butler - won inside job as teams 3rd down pass rusher

Even though he was a draft pick Bentley was on his way to being a preseason sensation starter this year. And, who knows, Jackson might be this year's Butler.

The Pats had him in for a tryout on 9/10/18 after he was waived by HOU in cutdowns. He signed with the ARZ PSquad on Sept 25th, and was released on Oct 30th.

Ufomba Kamalu (6051/295, age 25 as of Nov 2nd). Good size for a 3-4 DE/DT, comparable to Lawrence Guy.

Pre-draft measureables:
... 5.88/40, 1.65/10yd .. 26 reps .. 31.5 vert/106" lj .. 4.58 shuttle/7.36 3cone

Signed as a UDFA by Texans out of Univ. of Miami in 2016. Waived to HOU PSquad at end of 2016 Camp. Promoted around Thanksgiving 2016. Appeared in 4 games, recorded 5 tackles and a sack in 89 total snaps.

Appeared in 9 games for HOU in 2017 (beginning after a rash of injuries beset the HOU DL). Recorded 6 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 QBH in 184 D-snaps (also played 47 ST snaps).

Played under Vrabel in HOU.

His Pro-Day 40 was a 4.88/40 not a 5.88

Kamalu played OLB in the Texans 3-4 despite his size..

That's too bad, because I thought that Schwenke made a perfect backup C/G and game-day Active. The man just cannot stay healthy unfortunately.

First time with a foot injury though. ;)

He missed 23 games in his first three seasons (2013-15) with ankle, then knee, then ankle again. Stayed completely off the injury report for the next two seasons (2016 & 17), so he stayed healthy for quite awhile there.

Grissom to PS in 1 2

I don't think he's PS-eligible anymore.

Anyway, the Pats filled the open PS spot today with RB Josh Ferguson (who had a tryout yesterday).

O sorry I didn't see that who is Josh Ferguson?
Lol I can Google it but does any posters Have any insight?
Why we fall out of love with Webb?

Ok so on the highlight video I watched on Ferguson reminds me of Sony Michel without the power.
Hes quick fast he hits the hole fast but when defenders get hands on him hes going down.
He more than likely imoroved on the strength since college but I dont know by how much.
Majority of his highlights came in the passing game so I can see why we wanted him on the PS. Seems he would fit in real well with our offense.

Don’t know much about him but looks quick and elusive in these highlights.

Looks like Ferguson has good hands, a James White type player, but catching some deep passes while spreading out wide. Very impressive.

In all Ferguson's highlights I dont remember seeing him throwing a Block. He needs to work on that aspect of his game before he see's time with Brady.
