I am tired of all these networks keep yapping about Manning with most TDs at 539, Favre at 508 and Brady with 500

Why don't they mention that the reality is that Manning has 579 and Brady has 571. Excluding the most important TDs (the ones from playoffs and Superbowls) makes no sense.

At this point I hope the Patriots make a big deal when he passes 579 to highlight to everyone that he's thrown the most amount of TDs in NFL history. Focusing on just regular season TDs is absurd.

I guess I'm the only one irritated by this.

It makes no sense whatsoever that the NFL separately counts playoff separately from career numbers. They’re the most important numbers...

Regular and post-season stats are kept separate in the NFL.

The only stat I care about:

I can see why they exclude post season for most positions. Even a great RB or WR can get stuck on a ****ty team that rarely wins or gets to the playoffs. A QB though has a much higher influence on a team's success.

The team and the local media should hype this one up. Probably not though the team is too modest and the local media would rather hate TB.
Damn straight. Take a look at the below and ask yourself how many fan bases would love to have TB and would be happy to have a team that could make the kinds of plays we see there. Yet all we'll hear on Boston media is how TB and his trainer hate BB, etc. We've been blessed to have TB and BB and the media should be spending their time praising the team instead of dumping on it. TB is at the top of the league in QB performance at age 40. He puts in the work that lets him do that. What more could you want?

My only issue was the big deal when Manning was the first to 200 wins. This counted playoff wins. Be consistent.
