IDK about this one in particular. Maybe they saw it as an "iffy" challenge and thought they had better odds of punching it in if they didn't allow the Colts D to get a breather from the review delay.
Nice win and escaped without any major injuries except maybe Simon.
Brown was listed as probable to return, but don’t think he did.
Anyone know what happened to Simon?
You do realize they won by 14, right?Nightmare scenario was blowing this tonight then the Sox blowthis ng it to NY Friday night. Thankfully a bounce went the Pats way on that last pick...
Not worried about the O against most teams, but it looks like once teams figure out what the Pats r doing on D, it's up and down the field at will more often than not...anyway, I think we'd all take 3-2 after the Detroit game
GO PATS

Agree. If there is one thing to highlight between the clown show in Detroit and the last two games then it is the tackling. The players don't look that anemic anymore, wrap up and limit YACs significantly better.

Haha! Funny how you only surface when it's about McCourty. You really hate his guts.
Because of two fluke gifts on back to back drives. Otherwise that game is 52-10. I don’t get it. Are you not happy unless you’re complaining about something? You do realize Indianapolis cut it to 7 and had all the momentum in the 3d quarter.....?
You're right.
I don't wish for anyone to get injured, but as Mike Lombardi says, sometimes you're one injury away from being a good team.
The best thing about McCourty right now is that they would save $9.5M on their cap in 2019 if they cut him next spring. There is no way he's on the team next year at a $13.435M cap number.
Baseball has ERA for pitchers, so unearned runs by player errors don't count against the pitcher. We ought to the same for QBs so interceptions due to receiver errors as when a ball hits them in the chest and they bobble it or flat out bat a pass in the air ( as happened twice to Brady and once to Luck) it shouldn't be counted against the QB...What's up with all these Brady INTs?
I think he scored and if I remember correctly, the announcers didn’t hesitate in giving their opinions, too. I’m pretty sure that all eyes were on Belichick waiting for him to throw the flag.
Even if you don’t agree and believe that this angle was inconclusive, there seem to be plenty of others that were more definitive which occurred over the past five or so years. I remember being at the 2011 Steelers game when Gronk got in with about 3-4 mins left but Belichick claimed that he couldn’t see it from where he was standing. What the hell is Ernie doing upstairs? I thought he was supposed to be all over this stuff? Perhaps I’m wrong in his job assignments.

After 2 passes that should have been caught turned into interceptions.

Against the worst personnel they will face all year

The last thing I thought I'd be doing this morning was agree with the guy who complains about "soy boys", but how many INTs of that nature need to happen this year before we consider it a thing? Obviously doesn't reflect on Brady, but those turnovers were created by the Patriots, not their opponents, so even if we should have better things to do than worry about it, the team should absolutely make it a point of emphasis moving forward.
