I mentioned in the draft forum that I counted 9 times in a row where they threw to the left. Alabama’s bunch formations came almost exclusively on the left side of the field. Overload it and get in his face. Make the lefty throw to the right.
And for the record, I still think he’s the best QB in the country right now. But defenses have not forced him to do what he’s uncomfortable with yet. And no defense may be able to do that until he goes up against Georgia and/or OSU.
His mechanics are pretty special, specifically his lower half. Such a strong, sturdy base. He generates everything from there/core. Definitely has that Hawaiian strength. Almost flawless weight transfer.
And like the announcers said he has a great feel for spacing on the field. Almost no hesitation at all.
