Pats sign RB Kenjon Barner ?

Considering the Pats signed a PR only player to fill the RB4 slot, maybe that’s good news about Michel. Barner has less than 100 offensive touches in his career.

If not, Burkhead’s workload is about to get pretty big.

A signing that actually makes sense. I can't imagine we'll see him on offense.

Nice he should be able to keep Jules off STs too. Maybe we still use Jules in clutch spots but not all.

I'm fine with bringing out Jules as a returner in the Super Bowl. ;)

Until then, go Barner! :D

As the resident Ducks fan, I approve this pick up. He got used a lot and took a beating in Oregon’s spread run game. He was frequently dinged up. But he’s fast and shifty. Has decent hands and can pick up the blitz. If he stays healthy, he can produce. Great depth and skillset

3 fumbles last year...

Last year was his first season with extensive punt returning in the NFL. There's a good chance he's improved ball security -- or at any rate, that the Patriots will stress heavily the importance of hanging on to the ball in New England.

Now, that aside, he's got a great skillset. Check out this catch when lined up wide:

Hopefully this translates into Michel’s availability on Sunday. I wouldn’t expect Barner to get any offensive touches.
