Agreed, this thread is def problematic. You don’t see people ever complaining about male announcers. They are universally beloved.

The voice might be annoying (not her fault) . but her play by play calling is more informative than most old boys out there

The fake booming announcer voice is really annoying. The content of her words are fine, maybe better than most announcers.

Tone, intonation and delivery (conveying excitement) are the most important aspects of a television play-by-play announcer -- not "information." You get 90-percent of the play-by-play info from what you see, the color commentator has the important job with info. This woman is difficult to listen to.

Eh, she has no spark or charm, a bit of a robot, but she's not helped by Brian Griese who may well be in a coma.

It's not a very good method of evaluation for a variety reasons, but on a purely emotional level I'm definitely having a little PTSD watching a Matty P defense. At least I have hope with Flores.
