Post Game Thread - Pats beat the Texans

Every game is different. A poster said we had no chance this week because the "QB was mobile" and the defense was "stout". How did that work out?

If we win next week some will find reasons to downplay that win as well. Wins get downplayed and losses overreacted to. Anything else would shock me.

Poor boy. He put such an effort to turn it around, made a difficult roster, showed up more and more in STs as well. Maybe not a starter but quite significant loss.

Despite fumble danger he's a joy to watch. Sometimes it seems like the sea is parting in front of him.. Somewhat different than all recent Pats rushers.. what we usually like to watch on other teams..

Condolences to Chrisssssssssssss.....
It's not looking good for him

What I liked seeing on offense besides Dorsett contributing was the broken play where the old man rolled right and found his FULLBACK for a desperately needed 1st down.

Devlin was a man on fire today.. Loved him getting the work and punishing people after the catch..

That was some slow roll but I noticed a definite up-tick in the number of check-downs to RBs, a thing long missing from the repertoire.

I didn't see an aggressive d in terms of blitzing or trying to scheme guys open on stunts etc.
Will have to wait for the all 22 but we just won 1 on 1's today & were a lot of comfortable/prepared in game 1 than most anticipated.

IIRC, I saw no blitzes, no stunts, etc. Not what we want to do against a running QB anyway.

More than anything, just your standard 4 man rush that actually collapsed the pocket.

I'm convinced that some of the posters on here enjoy it when the team loses. On the plus side, I briefly checked the GDT at the start and avoided it after. Such a nice feeling to get away from the negativity...

Is anyone finding any reports on Hill that I haven’t seen.....I am bummed that he got injured on such a stupid play.....and Michel is going to be ?? all year.....praying he just strained something a little bit....thx

Deatrich Wise. I like how he looks out there. We might have a big find with him.

Wise had 5 total tackles, 1.5 sacks & 3 QB hits.

Jeff Howe should have complete defensive pressure stats posted on Twitter later tonight or tomorrow morning.

I'm thinking Webb because he's already ahead with the play-book.
If they could coax Woodhead out of retirement, he's a better option than most anything on the street..

I can't see the Pats going into the next game with only 2 RBs and Develin if Michel isn't healthy..

You have Knile Davis, Matt Jones, Langford, Rawls, Charles Sims etc .. not too difficult to find RB backups on the street and plug them in if necessary.

This is where having Bolden was so significant. As said before i didn't like how they played after cutdown game this year..

Wise looked dominating....GREAT game for him!!!!

I can't believe Rivers is in the doghouse already

I’m not really seeing why some of you are looking at Bolden as a RB replacement if he was still here....in all honesty he was a kick *** ST player .....and yes I think we missed him out there today.....but if u think he’s going to come in and replace Hill or White.....think u may be off on that

Sounds like you're sitting by his bed ;)

He can be really proud with what he did here . he showed he very much belongs in this league and thats a lot to build your rehab on. he is still young..
