Brady 5 more years...

If anyone can do it, he certainly can. I'm rooting for this to happen.

I'm at work so I can't check myself. What does he actually say, verbatim? What was the context?

Something that needs to be pointed out. Brady hasn't broken any new ground yet as far as the age barrier. Brady had a great year at 40? So did Favre.

Brady wants to have a solid year at 41? Vinny Testaverde played a full year at 41. It wasn't a good year though but he did play in 16 games. Moon made the probowl at 41 but didn't play in all 16 games.

If Brady plays in all 16 games and makes the probowl he will have done something no QB has ever achieved against father time.

I don't believe any QB has ever played a full season at 42. To me, next year is the year that he really breaks new ground in this regard.

I still think if he wins the Super Bowl this year, Giselle will convince him to retire.

If not, he plays until his contract runs up which I think has two years left. It would be interesting to see how it plays out after that.

Here’s a question for you guys. If Brady were to end up playing elsewhere, would you be a fan of that team? Could be a real possibility if he wants to play 5 more years.

I agree, if we are lucky enough to see another SB win by Brady, he walks away. He always talks about Michael Jordan's 6 championship wins with great reverence, I think that would be the magic number. May the football gods be with us this year so Brady gets #6.

Honestly, I can't see him playing until age 45, he may say it, but that's really tough to do, nobody has ever done that effectively. BUT, if anyone can do it, it's Brady, so go for it Tom !

He leaves he's dead to me

Once he retires I'm his fan again

There’s one thing I’ve learnt over these years. Don’t even doubt that man. Can’t wait to see what happens!

Something like "I want to play for five more years." Then counts out five on his fingers, counting his ages. Says it will tough but he think he can do it. There was no uncertainty, vagueness, equivocation, etc. Just plain ole' said it.

Rodgers is mid 30s and showing no signs of slipping.

Brees is right thete with Brady still throwing 4000 plus a year.

We sont need to psyche our selves into believing anymore. With the rules that are meant to keep the QB safe that it's the way of the future that a qb shoukd get 20 something years of football.

Assuming they dont tske the big one AND they put in the work in the offseason to stay in shape. Brady is gonna retire when he wants to, not when he has to.

As long as he doesn't suffer a manning injury where everything falls apart.

I was born at pretty much the perfect time to have started watching football as the Brady era began. For that reason, there's a lot of unanswered questions as to what I'll do when that era ends. I like to think I'll still follow as closely as I do now, but I also turn the game off when we go down by 3 scores, so...

If I do continue being the same kind of fan I am now, I would root for his team whenever it didn't conflict with the interests of the Pats.

I'd root for him unless he played the Pats.

I do wonder about Rodgers's clavicle

I don't think Brady lasts 5 more seasons, but then again he's still going....2-3 years ago I was saying 4 years max...

I am in to the bitter end...and the end will be bitter for sure. Brady isn't quitting after winning a Superbowl like Manning. I think it'll be ugly like Tom Sr. has said many times.... Brady is too driven to call it quits and ride off into the sunset....
