Age the fact Miller has more versatility gadget plays.
Tate is 30 and I saw the Decker signing play out.
Plus we play the Texans week one might have some knowledge and play a little harder.
Plus no pick compensation.

Tate has caught 90 passes 4 or 5 consecutive years. Miller hasn’t caught 20.
I like Miller for his versatility (esp running wildcat/pistol as a change up if Brady were injured) but while Tate is a pipe dream, he is a far, far better WR. Like top 20 compared to bottom 20.

I was a big fan of Miller coming out but there's no comparison between him and Tate.

I didn't say he was, just that as a WR, he's better than Braxton Miller. If the money can work (I haven't looked), he seems like a really nice option.

Only way I see them bringing Tate here is:
- He signs a 2 year extension for reasonable money
- He agrees to change his contract so that it's incentive heavy and the Pats can push the money to next year.

Tate's salary for this year is $7M. He's 30. He's likely to want a final payday. That's not the kind of thing the Pats do.

I would love Marvin Jones but mainly because it would be another draft binky on the roster. Screw it! Jones and Braxton Miller for a two-fer.

I like the depth at dback but trading Rowe worries me.

My guess is that they like Crossen and Jackson enough that they didn't want to expose them to the waiver wire.

Someone else mentioned Dylan Cantrell. I wouldn't mind seeing the Pats kick the tires on him or even get him to the PS.. I liked what I read and saw of him.. He's from Texas Tech.. He's tall and could be a Givens type of player. The Chargers cut him.. Which isn't saying much..

Why would we trade our starting corner to get a wr that we only need for 4 weeks at the beginning of the season?

If the Pats have coached their guys on how to follow the rule and avoid those flags, and the other team hasn't, that's on the other team. If the other team plays stupidly, it doesn't diminish the win.
