I prefer the comparison of $ for Jones = $ for Gilmore. Which one?
That's a valid comparison.

We gave up one season of Jones for a guard who started 32 games and a WR who had known knee issues but still was instrumental in a SB win. And lets not forget about some cap room while we are at it.
I dont see how having CJ in 2016 could have made the season a bigger success than it ended up being anyway and we were never gonna resign him because at market price he was neither fit nor value for what a DE needs to do here.
We certainly didn't lose that trade unless you somehow absurdly believe that a CJ extension was on the table. If you do you might be as high as CJ was when he walked in that police parking lot before the KC playoff game.
And given where the Cardinals have been in the last two years I dont see what exactly they have won about it either.
Yup. Depending on yesterday's procedure, released or conditional pick.I'd be shocked if any team out there gave up more than a 7th for a WR with the amount of knee injuries that Mitchell has had. The Patriots will more than likely have to cut him. That's a shame. He balled out in the Super Bowl but he's had a year to rehab the knee and if he cannot get on the field then it's obviously very bad news for him.
I bought Mitchell's superbowl 51 jersey on sale for 35 bucks. Why is it that every time I buy a player's jersey, they end up getting cut or traded?
I see a Jordan Richards jersey in your future.....I bought Mitchell's superbowl 51 jersey on sale for 35 bucks. Why is it that every time I buy a player's jersey, they end up getting cut or traded?
JE11 was drafted. After Branch and Givens its been a string of bad luck in terms of WR production via the draft.
Mitchell
Lucien
Gallon
Boyce
Ebert
Price
Tate
Slater
Jackson
Sam
Johnson
Check please.
Every NFL team has that issue.Another guy who we drafted that couldn’t stay healthy. Check
I'm not 100% sure how the whole process works but I think if the Pats are unsuccessful in trading MM and want to rid themselves of him, they would offer him an injury settlement and designate him as "waived/injured". He would then have 5 days to accept it. The settlement would include medical costs and salary for X amount of days he is expected to be injured before he is able to pass a physical. If they don't find a trade partner, it's possible they might reach an injury settlement and cut Mitchell right? Would that be better, or would it be cheaper to keep him on IR for another year, just in case.

I know one dude here always says we should have paid Jones instead of McCourty (because he definitely isn't making twice what DMc makes or anything).
So? The team projected him as a WR/KR/PR in their system.
Britt
Dorsett
Hogan
Matthews
Patterson
Yea that seems overstated. I think the team does like his physical ability and potential in the system.Team is high with Kenny Britt?
