I get that both selections played during our glory years but Bruce Armstrong should be on this team Imo. 14 seasons at tackle, 6 time pro bowler.
Yeah it’s damn close between him and Light. They were both really, really good

I honestly would’ve put both Armstrong and light at the tackle spots. But this list seems to be by exact position so Vollmer gets the nod at RT

The only exception to that seems to be Mankins at right guard, but it would have been an actual felony to leave Mankins off the list.

And obviously Mankins isn't as good as Hannah

Welker also should be on here, despite the super bowl drop. His numbers during his pats tenure were insane

I love me some Matt Light but he has no place being selected over Armstrong. If Mankins got moved to the right side why not Light?. Likewise there has to be a place for Steve Nelson over Vrabel no matter how much I like Vrabes. Coin flip between McGinest and Jim Lee Hunt, have to suspect some recency bias in Willie's selection.

So who's the quarterback? No time to click.

Disappointed that they only mentioned Returner besides Kicker/Punter on special teams.

Have to mention Matt Slater and Larry Izzo.. Two of the all time best Special Teams players.

Curtis Martin over Sam Cunningham. Pete Brock was a better C than Jon Morris. Bruce Armstrong no question is the All-time Patriot LT. I’m a big Matt Light fan, but Nate Solder is actually a better player. But, Leon Gray was better than both and I’d put him at RT. I’d add Ben Coates as a 2nd TE over Gino as a 3rd receiver.

Defensively, it’s hard to leave Julius Adams but if 3-4 you must. Love Tedy Bruschi but Steve Nelson was a better player and would be one on my MLB. Actually, I would go nickel dropping Willie and Tip down as DEs with Vince and Big Sey 93 inside. Nelson and Vrabel as my LBers. This would let me add Raymond Clayborn as a 3rd corner.

Was Rich Camarillo the punter who tried to get a barroom confrontation with Andre Tibbett? I would drop him and replace him with Ken Walter who was the holder on the 3 biggest field goals in Patriots’ history.

Martins better than Cunningham but he’s a Jet. He started with us, but that’s like saying Babe Ruth was a Red Sox. Technically true, but that’s not the team he’s truly associated with

The mid to late 1980's teams were loaded with talent.
Did Tony Eason or the coaching staff hold them back?
(I hate to dump on any Patriot)

Your right, Curtis Martin should be in at rb over Sam Cunningham...IF he had bothered to stay longer than 3 years.

Eason didnt like to study or lift weights.

He held himself back.
