“Win it for” was a thread started on the Sons of Sam Horn website, a Red Sox and Boston sports forum after Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS. The OP was a guy writing about why and for whom he wanted the Sox to win. It got a huge number of responses that continued through the World Series and afterwards. It was an incredible thread with a lot of personal stories - many from Sox fans that had lived through ‘67, ‘75, ‘78, ‘86 and even ‘03. The next spring the thread became a book, and you can still buy it on Amazon.

So hypothetically speaking if the Pats win the next two Super Bowls, and it becomes clear that the organizational culture was a key factor, do we just put this thread to rest? By that time it will have far surpassed the record. If on the other hand the wheels come off this season we might need a separate board just for this topic (like they did with the PoFo).
