Where did Tennessee screw us ?

By all reports we wanted a OL player in round 1 (Ragnow or Wynn) and the Titans wasted trade resources to jump ahead of us to pick someone we would not have picked anyway.

And then given how empty of talent this draft is we kept trading down and stockpiling late fliers and future picks.

I didn't do any work on Dawson but I'm willing to be positive about the pick because I think good slot players actually matter a lot in today's NFL and there's still a significant bias against them because they don't fit the old model of a four player secondary with three or four big fat linebackers.

I'm less willing to support the selection of some big fat linebacker for, well, the same reason.

The Pats have plenty of edge guys on the roster already. They were caught short on off-the-ball LBs last year.

Ok. I believe Evans was the pick, had he been there. And they traded up two picks ahead of us in the second to take Landry, who I also believe was a realistic option.

If we want to gripe about missing Evans that’s a fair criticism. We weren’t going to move up that high for Roquan.
