It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Should of traded him and kept Jimmy G thats my thought then and thoughts now.I expect him to play this year and finish his career in 2019. But the end is very near. He ain’t playing to 45. They need to grab a QB.
I’m not trying to go down this rabbit hole, but you can’t trade the GOAT while he still plays like the GOAT. The guy gives us the best chance to win Super Bowls now. If Brady looked like hammered **** at the beginning of 2017 or his INT total was noticeably increasing, I’d have been on board.Should of traded him and kept Jimmy G thats my thought then and thoughts now.
Now we are scramblimg to find a heir and we had one and San fran got him for a fricking second.
If his guy falls to the 8 or 9 range, I can see a trade up.Well that’s kind of ****ty to read. Though I really doubt he doesn’t play this season. I just can’t see him hanging them up yet when he’s clearly still got it.
Regarding QBs, I think they’re targeting getting one in the draft already, but I doubt Belichick will treat the position much differently than any other - he will target the position but won’t reach for it.
The Pats need an answer on Brady’s actual timeline ASAP (whether it’s 1 year left or 3+). This QB class is the deepest since 2004 & we have the ammo to get a sliding Rosen. The 2019 QB class is a mess.
And that's what Bill would have done IMO. But there's no way Kraft would let him do that. We'll waste a ton of draft picks (what we spend minus what we got for JG) to get the next guy but with a deep QB draft and extra picks we'll fix this next week.Should of traded him and kept Jimmy G thats my thought then and thoughts now.

Jackson is going to take more than a season to be NFL-ready, IMO. They need to take a guy that doesn’t need as much work and will be ready to play in 2019 (if needed).I think we have our answer. Brett Brady is seeing the end and will likely be waffeling between wanting to play and wanting to be with his family for a while. Whether it's a big trade up for Rosen, a small trade up for Jackson or staying put for someone like Rudolph, we're 8 days away from bringing the next guy in.

You’re talking to the wrong guy. I’m not overly high on Jackson in the first place.I don't think I'd compromise on long-term potential just to go 10-6 instead of 6-10 in 2019.

They need to take the best long term prospect. If Jackson isn't read when they need him they struggle through a season but I wouldn't pass on potential greatness for likely mediocrity.Jackson is going to take more than a season to be NFL-ready, IMO. This. Jackson has a higher ceiling than nearly everyone in this draft if he develops correctly. Could be this years Deshawn Watson.I don't think I'd compromise on long-term potential just to go 10-6 instead of 6-10 in 2019.
For me, there’s no denying Rosen’s pure talent. His mechanics are impeccable. My question is whether he has a long-term passion for the game. That said, I think they’d have to trade up into the top 3 to get him and I just don’t see that.Mostly agree. Rosen is the #1 ovr pick in the 2017 or 2016 Draft. He’s basically Jimmy G who’s younger with a stronger arm. He’s such a natural fit for our offense that BB & the front office really have to think hard about firing the missiles for him. It would weaken the 2018 team & maybe drive Brady to an even earlier retirement but that’s a risk they might have to take at this point.

Brady should be irrelevant in the discussion. If he's thinking of moving on (which he clearly is although maybe not right now) then they need to move on from him in their mind and draft a long term guy regardless of how Brady feels about it. If Brady wants the Patriots to commit to him then he needs to commit to them.It would weaken the 2018 team & maybe drive Brady to an even earlier retirement but that’s a risk they might have to take at this point.
