I'll say it again- be specific. Lots of fans believe they were destroyed in the SB even though they were winning with 2min to go. It's called emotions getting the best of you. Its ok. Its happens.
So your position is regardless of any set of circumstances Malcolm either should have played?
IMO:
If Butler had struck a coach - He should have been sent home, and not dressed, standing on the sideline, having participated in one special teams play.
If Butler had been drunk the entire week - He should have been sent home, and not dressed, standing on the sideline, having participated in one special teams play.
If Butler had been sick and missed his flight, then not done great in practice - Butler should not have started, they should have seen how his replacements played, and then after not getting any stops, butler should have been put in to start the second half
If Butler had killed a man ray lewis style - He should have been sent home, and not dressed, standing on the sideline, having participated in one special teams play.
If Butler had just not been keyed in at practice - Butler should not have started, they should have seen how his replacements played, and then after not getting any stops, butler should have been put in during the first half
If Butler was caught watching a movie in his hotel room with his parents - Honestly this one depends on the movie. if it was something good like interstellar I say no punishment, but if he was watching like the halle berry catwomen movie, he should have been sent home.
None of this matters though, because BB said it was for football reasons. not a single VALID report mentions drugs, booze, hookers, assaults, murders. The only things we know are facts is that he missed a flight, had the flu, and didn't practice at 100%.
Do you think those reasons are reasons enough to bench him in the superbowl where he has been known to be clutch?
