This is counter intuitive, but bear with me.

If you get worked up and drop an F-bomb, OK. (Why am I looking toward Arizona, weird.)

Instead of apologizing or mentioning the swear jar or whatever accidentally highlights it, say, "CRYING OUT LOUD."

Seriously, it works. The Listeners mind hears the F-bomb as "For." And you can delay. Try it off air.

I can't help you with "-ing," as in blind flying ref.

Stop listening to this incoherent crap. There are so many better Pats-centric podcasts out there.

And there others that are certainly a lot worse. The guys do a pretty good job and they take the time every week for all three of them to get together to record one - and they've done it for over five years with over 300 recorded. I get that it's not perfect but it's pretty darn good for what it is. It's fine if you don't like it, but, with all due respect, I think that's a bit harsh and unwarranted.

Dropping f bombs on air is a new norm it seems

They reeled it in a little this week. Derek went off the rails a little in the last one, but I know they've discussed it so I don't expect it to be as bad moving forward. But I don't really get involved with that aside from some editing, etc. It's basically their thing and they've built a relatively good following since they started it. They're not professionals, they're just a few guys who get together and talk about the team - it really isn't much more than that and I applaud them for consistently putting one out each week. It's tough to get three people to commit to a time to do it, so it's been great they've been able to do it for that many recordings.

I know. It’s not bad to me at all. I swear a lot when talking sports and don’t mind if they swear. I like the various shows for the most part even the real negative ones.

And honestly - it's actually great to hear critical stuff because it forces us - and me if it's site related - to take a look at things and try to improve it. I don't ever want anyone to be afraid to call out something or criticize it because I can't fix it if you don't. So if you (or anyone else for that matter) want to post what you don't like about it, it's actually appreciated. I just need a little more than it's "incoherent crap" to work off of.

That's fair. If I had not unsubscribed during last years training camp I could have given you more substantial criticism. Either way.. sorry if you felt offended by my remarks. Incoherent crap might have been too strong.. something that should be reserved for the clowns from PFW.

It's obviously fine since if you hadn't posted a reply, I wouldn't have known. I've made suggestions recently and there have been some subtle changes Russ has done that has improved it as of late. They're still working on making it better and there are some other things they'll be doing that should see it flow a little more smoothly. But they genuinely care about getting it right, so I do appreciate you saying something instead of staying silent. Because we/they definitely need to hear it.

"****ryinoutloud" doesn't really sound the same as "for crying out loud" in my half of the state...

Do people really care about F-bombs anymore?

Well, an upstanding guy gets caught with some bud and some want to brand him as the anti-Christ. So, yeah. I’m positive some people get upset at the F word. ****, not me though. It’s just another ****ing word, that when used correctly can really spice some **** the **** up!

Thanks, I was thinking about that exact thread when I asked the question.

Which is where the recently begun effort being spearheaded here at patsfans to substitute the word jete as a universal cuss/spice/pejorative sentence enhancer really shines. By employing it your last 2 sentences would have read: "jete, not me though. It's just another jeten word, that when used correctly can really spice some jete the jete up!" Not only does it perform the function but as 4 letter words go could there be a better pejorative for a Pats fan? For one of the Foxborough Faithful It's hard to come up with one that better conveys contempt and a sense of not giving a jete about the perception of others.

Will subscribe to it again and post some feedback in a few weeks via PM or something.
