So far, I can't figure out anything that Dillon (post-'04) did better.

Dillon in 04 was a monster, but post 04 Dillon yeah Morris is probably slightly better cause of versatility. I like that when Maroney gets a little too tiptoey (madeup word I guess) that we can just go to Morris and he'll pound it in there.

Morris is healthier. And he's versatile. If you think a Morris in his prime is the same as Dillon well....

Wasn't Dillon was a killer pass blocker to the end?

I think we'll have to see how Morris does in goal line situations over several games. That's where post-2004 CD was money.

Not sure he is an upgrade, but so far he is an adequate replacement..

how would you compare their speed, morris looks quite toey ;-)

Looks great so far but lets not get too ahead of ourselves

Agreed. The O-line did a better job than Morris. Madden was talking about them all game. Dillon would of had a monster game last night.

To my eye they are a little different style runner, particularly the latest version of CD we saw. Morris looks faster, more of a slasher last night, as opposed to CD's taking on the tackler more.

I will admit I may be remembering it wrong.

Morris looks great. Maroney and Morris make a good RB tandem. Maroney totally whiffed on his pass blocking assignment (Merriman), which almost got Brady killed. Luckily Faulk still is an amazing blocking back for his size (totally demolished a LB blitzing up the middle in the first qtr.).

morris is great... but as a great coach once said...lets not put him canton just yet.
Dillon was awesome in the first year in pass blocking and running in the playoff games especially...

I absolutely think Morris is an upgrade over Dillon right now for his role.

His role is working out perfectly.
