Can someone please explain to me why Ron Borges still has social media privileges on THIS site. I checked the site to see what's happening and I have to see his tweets plastered on the right side of my screen from top to bottom on some bad fight I don't really care about.

WTF does this guy have to do that embarrasses himself further so that I and so many other Pats fans don't have to see his name on this site anymore. He has MORE than forfeited that right on SO many levels. Can I get an amen?

There's a lot of diverse opinions in Patriot Nation. You can find disagreement and debate on most any subject, much of it informed and some of it even respectful but on a few subjects the opinion is close to universal. The jete suck, Ray Lewis Killed A Guy and Ron Borges is an ill bred self important lazy douche.

What if Ray Lewis had killed Ron Borges.

Where is this twitter feed? I don't see one, using Chrome on Mac.

It's only if you're on a full-width browser - on the lower right and (for those who have donated) you don't have the sidebar disabled. I never really came up with a way to have it appear on mobile. You can also add/remove reporters, players, etc. It's been a while and I have to update both lists - so that would be why it's a little outdated with inactive players/reporters, etc. I'll try and spend some tomorrow and get that updated.

Aah, I had the sidebar disabled.

"News" is pretty much all fake anymore and it requires willful suspension of disbelief to buy any of it. So, the only sources that are "acceptable" are those that consistently confirm one's own pre-existing bias.
yep, the problem with commercial, capitalist news

IDK.

My guess is that, way back in pre-history, when human "civilization" was just a bunch of disorganized interest groups and before graffiti had been invented (by some middle-eastern millennial who dropped out of college), the itinerant social losers who carried the "news" from tribe-to-tribe through jungle, savannah and desert, probably figured out pretty quickly that embellishing their tales with salacious gossip, innuendo, controversy (manufactured if necessary) and elements of butt-clench-inducing danger, daring and triumph got them laid more often than reports about the size of that year's gnu herd.

Eventually, the embellishments became the tale, whether there was any factual basis or not.

They probably also figured out soon afterwards that editing their stories to glorify the powers that be, while covering up the foibles of those powers, would help them keep their heads attached.

So, as TPTB became better organized, sophisticated, wealthy - and more global - over the centuries, they ultimately just said, "F** it" and made "news" a wholly-owned subsidiary.

But, these guys aren't really "political" anymore in the sense that the rest of us have become ("Partisanship is for losers."). And they aren't really even "capitalists" in the sense of actually making useful sh*t. Their gig is renting stuff - primarily money - and acquiring everything they think they can rent back to the rest of us - including information.
