Here's the other consideration about Gronk ...

Pretty much no matter what, the Pats are going to be dealing with a kludgey situation at tackle. The last thing I'd choose to do is to shed guys who are excellent blockers.

This is the Official Free Agency thread, so I'd say yes. You can just ignore the post.

I still have to click on the main link, to get to your useless post. Why did ou feel the need to post about an Osweiler visit, not even a signing?

The site does not have a “you won’t give a sh*t about this not relevant in any way to the Patriots post so don’t bother clicking on the main link” feature.

1) It wasn't my post.
2) You can set threads to ignore, so wrong again.

The main reason I dont see this happening is because it would create a gigantic hole on offense. TE is one of the hardest positions to project in terms of draft. You dont just go out, draft a TE early and assume that he will contribute in his rookie year. Those players need time to absorb not only the skill position playbook but also understand their pass protection assignments. And to be physically proficient in pass-pro they also need to go through a NFL-level strength and conditioning program for a while.

That being said given the right offer anyone is tradeable, obviously.

Unless it’s a high first I wouldn’t make the deal. The ideas being floated about taking 2nd and 3rd picks makes absolutely no sense imo, and I wouldn’t even consider them. You only do it if you believe you can get a great player in the draft, you don’t do it for quantity.

You're just making yourself look worse now.

with only 8ish mil in cap space there is almost no chance we get suh

So, eight million should get us like 2 players?

That would be nice

Just to be clear, I'm NOT suggesting that the Pats should accept a 2nd (& an exchange of 3rds) for Gronk. I'm merely suggesting that it's closer to what the Pats could realistically expect in return than a "high 1st" or "a whole bunch of picks".

One of Fleming or Waddle ... and then, Navorro Bowman (although probably more like Jonathan Casillas).

Staying relevant ... ;)
