I'm not sure that there's enough eye-of-newt available for even Scar to work magic on that one.

Agree completely. Like Erik Flowers he’s a great reminder that being a high pick ultimately doesn’t guarantee anything. Unfortunately the top of this OL class isn’t very impressive. They may however have better luck after the first round.

Hard to say what Clayborn's role/usage might be like with the Pats.

In ATL the past three seasons, he's played about 50% of the D-snaps (~ 550 snap/yr avg), rotating with (or playing opposite of) Reed, McKinley (2017), Freeney, Jackson & Reed (2016), Beasley, Bierman and Jackson (2015), and at least 1-2 other low-usage reserves, generally getting more snaps than any of the others.

With the Pats, he'll probably be competing for snaps with Wise (543 snaps, 51%), Guy (582 snaps, 55%), maybe Adam Butler (473 snaps, 45%), and possibly Flowers (802 snaps, 76%).

As long as he can consistently set the edge and get some pressure when he's on the field, I'm good.
I think he, along with wise are the bigger DE that we like to use in the nickel base, and can both slide inside on obvious passing downs. 50% of snaps is a good target.

Better to have an agreement with Waddle. We'll see how hospitable Cowboys are for Fleming.

Never thought this news would make me despair.

Personally, I’d be happy with the 6th round compensation that could come with Fleming signing with another team, as long as we lock up Waddle. I have no confidence in Fleming as a potential starter.

Dallas can have Fleming.

LT- Greg Robinson might be worth a gamble. Former top 5 pick in 2014. Maybe Scar could work some magic.
Cedric Ogbuehi WAS A 2015 first round pick for the Bengals. He had talent at some time in his life. He has been terrible, but ironically the Bengals just switched O Line coach. If this to say if he is expendable and Scar can coach him up?

Excellent observation. I totally forgot about him. This could be a steal, considering Scar is still with the team. Dante could surely Scar him up. He’d also be pretty cheap, being that he’s currently a FA that’s barely done anything noteworthy.

2014 NFL Draft Profile: Greg Robinson

Little known fact:

Only two people in the Steelers' organization can actually do math. And they're both on vacation this week.
I’m guessing it’s a 2 year $10m deal with a cap hit this year of $500k and next year of $9.5m.

So the biggest need in the draft - LT or CB? It doesn't look like we'll fill either of those needs in free agency, unless Bill is satisfied with Waddle and JMac.
