Julius Thomas released by doofins.....he’s only 29 and was a great TE for several years.....what do y’all think?! Worth a look?!
He’s done.

By the end of this week, we will have Suh, Nelson, Ebron and Mathieu all signed up and ready for camp. Then use draft for QB, LT, LB and CB. Game, set...Superbowl.

With less than 11 million left ? I will take Mathieu.

Wishful thinking.....but I love it

Wow, FA has been pretty boring ever since it was actually supposed to start at 3:00 PM.

A DT FA that I think would be a steal its former Viking Tom Johnson. Above average pass rusher who graded out fairly well last season.

He's 33, but he might be able to be acquired for a decent price.

Another player I think would be a great addition, and might be the biggest steal of FA is, Eric Reid. I haven't heard one zip of his name throughout the entire FA period.

He also graded out fairly well last season.

Patrick Chung is aging, and Reid remainds me so much of him, just more athletic. Could be a great way to replace the SS postion with another steal of a singing.

Also, lets not forget, when bill drafts his younger brother in the 1st, they could play together. lol

A lot of people forget how good he was at LSU. Was part of the "DBU" era at LSU When Tyrann Mathieuu, Patrick Peterson, and him all played together. He is 6'2 215lbs with good speed (4.52), and eye popping, 33 3/4 inch arms, 40 inch vert, and a 6.85 3 cone. His early career years were wasted in SF. He's never had any major injuries and is just 26 years old.

As of right now, he might be my #1 target.

Something like 3 years 18-28million, with 10-12 Guaranteed. I could easily live with that. Word is, he's not drawing interest because his anthem protest. #steal

This is what BR NFL 1000 scouting had to say about him.

  1. Eric Reid was good everywhere. The fact he still lost his starting spot tells you how good Jaquiski Tartt was. Reid excelled in the box. He was aggressive against the run and didn't miss too many tackles. He had no problem going out wide or playing in slot coverage, either. Look for the impending free agent to have a big impact for whoever he plays for.

The 49ers asked Reid to play a host of roles in 2017—everything from "moneybacker" to deep safety—and he took every challenge with aplomb. Defensive coordinator Robert Saleh had Reid at the line of scrimmage a lot, where he could blitz, shoot the gaps to stop the run or drop into curl/flat coverage based on the defense. He has become one of the NFL's more versatile safeties and would be a major asset for any team looking to expand its nickel and dime coverage looks.

I’m down with the safety addition in the first, for sure. Any kind of FA signing at the position will likely be the type that you’re suggesting.

Wait...we don't have 80 mill like the 9ers?
We had 65m last offseason. That still puzzles me.

Obviously, Gilmore, HT, and Harmon were the big signings. Guys like Allen, Gilleslee, and Burkhead were middle of the road pickups.
