Has anyone ever made more money than Cousin? This guy just came off making 50 million guaranteed and now add another 86 million guaranteed, all for a guy who has never won more than what 8 games in a season??

Man would I love to have been his agent!

The Cousins deal is a potential game changer.

I propose he's not worth top 10 receiver money and if he wants that then yes trade him.

Cooks has significantly out-produced Watkins and Adams and has at least matched Robinson's averages, and all three of those guys got "top ten WR money" (and Robinson is coming off and ACL tear).

So, that's that kind of money that a healthy Cooks will be offered next spring, especially if he puts up anywhere near 1,000 yards and 8 TDs in 2018.

Whether Cooks is worth that much to the Pats after the 2018 season is a whole different question. But, right now, he's being paid Albert Wilson money.

They have a really good young receiver at a team friendly price. You don’t trade that when you can keep him and still get a third for him after the season. You can also look at it as a two year deal with a franchise tag and pay him around 11-12 a year over two years. You can also tag him and trade him as the fish did with Landry.

Interesting way to look at it.

At the end of 2018, the Pats will have had Cooks for two years at a total cap hit of $10M. If the FT for 2019 is $18M, and they keep him for one more season, they will have had three years services from a top-10 WR for an average of $9.3M a season - probably $4M-$5M less per season than any other top-10 WR (or "pretend" top-10 like Watkins).

This is how Belichick treated it with Welker. They offered 2/16 and Welker turned it down and signed the 10 million tag. By all accounts that pissed Belichick off seriously and he wouldn’t go a dime over 6 million the next year, which obviously comes back to the 2 years 16 million they offered to begin with. I think they want to keep Cooks because t want to see how next year goes before committing. That could leave them out of his price range but a tag wouldn’t shock me.

Lol Simmons has some really absurd takes. This is as bad as Cleveland couldn’t beat Toronto last year

So, $6.25M APY. Might be a comp for Bradham.

Keenum is interesting I liked him when he filled in for for Texans and didn't completely fall on his face

However it said houston is suppose to have the best cancer Drs in the world.
True, One of my best friend's wife is a Doctor with connections to their best.
But....nobody wants to switch Doctors if the treatment is working.

I

I know nothing about Allen
Good young DT plugger from Wisconsin so BB has his story. Not much pass rush. 6'2" 333lbs, Bucs, Lions and Chargers are in play. If lions, winds up as a swap for he and Ngata ironically

Old broken down linebacker, sounds a perfect guy Bill will try to bring into camp

Better yet Cousins,
The Steelers just placed an original-round tender on OLB Anthony Chickillo.
The tender is worth $1.907 million. The low tender gives the Steelers the right of refusal to an offer sheet and a sixth-round pick, Chickillo's draft cost in 2015, if they decline to match.
In a part time role he had 19 tackles and three sacks in 2017
4.79 40 and a 7.17 3 cone (better than Flowers)

We have seen this story with the Steelers before. Can he be another Vrabel or Nink?
Give up our sixth and maybe $3mm for a guy who has already proved he can rush the passer. He is also a good S/T guy.
Pre-Season but still fun.

Thoughts?

Rodgers is up. Will be fascinating to see if Cousins fully guaranteed structure will have any effect in GB.

The amount of money that's going to have to be put in escrow could get ridiculous.

So, the Bills will have Williams and Star Lotulelei paired on their interior DL now.

He may be right
Are we talking about straight up or cap wise? Kirk is the higher ceiling for sure. Keenum has only had one good year and doesn’t have his OC anymore.
