Does Harrison come back?

I would love to see him back as he really came up big in the playoffs on multiple plays. We need DL help so I hope it happens

Maybe later in the summer.

I'm doubtful that there will be pressure from a lot of other teams eager to sign him, so the Pats can likely wait until mid-July. In the past, they've often given older vets "the summer off", since it's not like such guys really need OTAs - especially a guy like Harrison who they know is going to be keeping himself in shape.

Trade him for Ed Reed.

No it was a shot in the dark on a decimated front 7. He doesn’t have enough left to go into a season expecting him to have a role.

I'd rather not have rely on him but it's nice to know that the option is there. I could picture him staying in shape for a late season spot kind of like Seau did though he probably wouldn't just wait for it if another good team wanted him.

Harrison, I would sign him for a season. He might want longer then I wouldn't sign him.

You realize that it would be non guaranteed and then could give him 10 years and never pay a nickel after year 1 if they cut him
after that right?

We made a deal with the devil and it didn't work out. I'd rather watch Eric Lee/Dietrich Wise/Derek Rivers learn on the job and grow into their roles.

No. He was cooked by the bowl and could not seal the edge. Next!

I can see the team giving him a chance to compete in the training camp. By the time training camp begins, Patriots will have several players, acquired through the draft and free agency, compete for his position. It is up to him to prove himself. If we end up with a mediocre line like last year, then Harrison will be ultra useful. If the man is strong enough to play 60 snaps in SB (yes, the line sucked) then he is quite capable of contributing 15 effective snaps a game next season.

I'm guessing that he'd accept a 1-yr deal for about $1M plus a $250k signing bonus.

Last year he was causing problems in Pittsburgh because he wanted more play time. I guess if I was going to try and sign him, I’d ask him what type of play time would keep him happy, and decide from there. I would love to have him back on a minimal salary, and make him the part of a rotation. He’s still strong, smart, passionate about the game and showed some twitch to his game. I’d say it all comes down to his attitude.
