OT
What will happen with Solder, Fleming and Waddle?

TE
What will have with Gronk, Bennett and Allan? Other than for some of our posters, there is no rush with regard to Allan.

RB
Will anyone be extended (likely not for now); we have Bulkhead and Lewis as issues?

Haven't heard much bulkhead talk since I was in the Navy:)

I think we'll keep Solder. Not enough dough for Fleming and Waddle if we do that. Gronk will play IMO. I'd draft his successor though. Gesicki or Goedardt at 43. Let Allen and Bennett walk.
It sounds like Lewis is gone for more $$$. Heck, we could let Burkhead walk and cut Gillislee. Wouldn't be crazy if we brought Blount back again and pick a rb in 3rd or 4th.

Hopefully they keep one of Fleming or Waddle but preferably Fleming. I think Gronk will play as well but restructure Allen rather than cut him.

I have no clue on the RB situation.

Bennett is a beast love the way he plays.
I bet they keep him.

How would you prioritize that? I mean on a list of things to do how far down that list would put signing Bennett?

1. NT
2. LB
3. LT
4. RB
5. CB
6. Amendola?
7. Bennett?

Cap space seems tight.

Gut feeling that Blount comes back.

I think they will reach a deal with Solder, and sign one of the two back-ups.

Bennett will be released and they will try to get Allen to take a pay cut. There’s an outside chance Gronk gets traded, but only for a high first. If so they will draft a TE early.

Lewis will walk but they will re-sign Burkhead. I would expect them to draft a RB this year.

I don't think they pay Solder top money.
Im predicting he walks.
Running backs are found in the draft if Burkhead doesn't accept 3 mill he walks
Bennets option is picked up
Defensive line and linebackers are the focal points of free agency.
Maybe bring in the honey badger but he may play too undisciplined for BBs liking.

I would have felt good about anything had we won the super bowl. Idk how much they can increase their cap space. They would have to make cuts. Wish they could have gotten more from the jimmy G trade.

I reckon they'll let Solder go. Will cost a lot and he is 29

So who will take solder's spot? Are they going to draft a tackle in the first or second round at 43? Solder played his best football at the end of the year. Cannon has to stay healthy.

OT
- Re-sign Solder.
- Re-sign Fleming, if possible. Re-sign Waddle if not.

TE
- Extend-restructure Gronk to increase his guaranteed money while reducing his 2018 and 2019 cap hits by $4M - $5M for each year.
- Extend-restructure Allen's 2018 and 2019 cap hits down to $2.5M and $4.5M respectively.
- Cut Bennett if he doesn't agree to restructure down to a 2018 cap hit similar to Allen's before March 16th.
- Backfill with Will Tye from the PSquad (don't bother drafting a TE at all unless Gronk is gone).

RB
- Re-sign Burkhead at somewhere between Chris Ivory's 2/$6M deal and White's 3/$12M deal - structured with a 2018 cap hit around $2.5M.
- Keep Gillislee at $2.18M until and unless there's a clear upgrade under contract. His per-game contributions to total RBBC production demonstrate that he's a more than adequate #4 RB when called upon, so there's really no point to spending a crap-tonne of effort and draft capital trying to "upgrade" a spot that's going to be inactive most games anyway.
- Allow Lewis to walk (assuming the rumored demand/contract numbers are real and not merely his agent's fantasy). Backfill the 90-man roster with a 3rd or 4th-round pick, a couple UDFA, and a cheap NFL veteran and then see who wins the final RB spot on the 53-man.

1) LT
2) Everything else is predicated on what gets spent at 1

I think Solder gets resigned, he's only 29 and has some decent football still in him. I think he signs a reasonable deal, would probably take a huge offer for him to leave the area with his family situation.

Bennett was a beast in 2016, and I loved the way he played. But that will be two years ago by the time Camp starts.

I agree. I was all for trading for him, and I’m glad tjey had him in 2016, but he had clearly lost a significant amount of his athleticism by last season, and that was his greatest strength as a player. If he were willing to do a low cost deal I would be ok with keeping him around, as he’s still better than a number of starters in the league, but I doubt he would go for that.

Patriots transactions often don't get reported until late afternoon. Since another Snowmageddon is moving in, I'd say that will happen roughly 30 minutes after our power goes out, and about five minutes after my laptop battery dies.
