Out of curiosity: how much are our 1st and 2nd round picks worth in trade value?

Hypothetically, if we wanted to trade up in the 1st round, how high could we trade up if we bundled our 1st and two 2nds? I’m asking this in terms of the pick value chart that people have used on here before.

(Yes I do realize it’s very unlikely that we would do this, I’m always just curious to see the possibilities though)

Would also like to see how far trading the 1st and 43rd would get us, as well as trading the 1st and 63rd.

I am hoping we stay at our position. This team needs some talent especially on the defensive side of the ball. LBs and maybe another DT

#31 = 600
#43 = 470
#63 = 276

#31 + #63 = 876 = #19 (DAL, 875)

#31 + #43 = 1070 = #15 (ARZ, 1050) + a late 5th/early 6th (which they don't have)

#31 + #43 + #63 = 1346 = #9 (OAK, 1350)

Trading up to #19 for the right player is interesting, although unlikely.

I'd rather have quantity this year and wouldn't be surprised if he trades one of the top 3 picks to move down a get an extra pick.

I prefer quality over quantity. This team has enough quantity. They need a player at LB.

Draft is very deep with Defensive Talent this year. I think we could trade out of the 1st unless someone falls. LB there is a lot of athletes at the position this year.

A double-dip at LB in the 2nd and 3rd isn't out of the question, although I'd still prefer some NFL experience added there, especially for ILB.

There's absolutely zero guarantee of "NFL quality" from any prospect, regardless how early the pick used on them. None of them are NFL players yet. They're merely prospective NFL players until they've played. More picks at least provides more chances to pick up a prospect who turns out to be useful.

I think we need immediate impact. We can’t be collecting a bunch of “value” in the mid rounds. We don’t have time for that anymore, and acquired plenty of guys like that I’m last years draft.

I’d personally like to see us package up 31 and 63 for a 19-20 if the right player is available there.

I’d love to move up to 9 to get Edmunds. I like him that much as a player. It’d be pretty unrealistic though.

Just for fun!

Trading Down
31 -> 40 & 99 (Denver)
43 -> 58 & 90 (Falcons)

And suddenly we have the 40th, 58th, 63rd, 90th, 95th, 99th, 136th, and 205th picks (8). Do y'all think this is an improvement?

It Depends. Our Biggest needs - Pass Rusher - LB - CB.

I can see CB being addressed via FA possibly in Sherman hopefully, is who i want.

LB's there is a ridiculous amount of talent who are athletically gifted in this draft class this year, which is what we are lacking, and possibly another HT type player, we could look at FA for this as well.

Pass Rush, will be the draft i feel. Theres multiple options. I am hoping the Landry falls to us at 31, there are a few in this year draft but i like Landry's bend, speed, and his numerous other moves.

There is a lot of talent.

Don’t disagree that it’d be a great value, but we’re a team doesn’t have a huge window left.

This was something that was good for us to do back in 2009-2011 when we were rebuilding the roster.

It all depends on the player taken, not where they are taken. If Bill feels like the draft is loaded with potential starters rd’s 2-4, then I hope he finds a way to load up there. If Bill feels like the draft is weak and he can climb up and get someone to be a starter, go for it. I’m not gonna argue with him either way, it’s pointless. He doesn’t know me, and he’s Bill ****in’ Belichick!

Patriots biggest needs on defense:

Interior DL run-stopper
On-the-line edge defender
Off-the-line edge defender
ILB tackling machine
SS/LB hybrid who can cover the middle and the slot and tackle like a good ILB
