So now that we all know the report of Jones being 'fined millions' was erroneous and the league is actually sticking him for the legal fees comes word of Jerrah's inevitable pending appeal:

This should be...fun.

(Mods: I didn't want to post this in the 'Goodell to Fine Jones Millions' thread due to what we now know about that being inaccurate and the thread having been polluted with puerile CBA debate as it was winding down. Please combine them if you think that was in error)

it isn’t reallty erroneous. if you want to play jonnie cochrane and parse words and play semantics, that is your choice.

jones is being handed a 2 million dollar bill after defending his player from being framed, cheated and robbed of salary, and he had every right to balk at how goodell’s new contract would be incentivized. this is a retaliation meausure, no two ways about it.

Did Tom Brady have to pay the NFL's legal costs or are players/union excluded?
Is that why Krafty Bob didn't pursue legal action?

NFL Draft is going to be at Cowboys Stadium this year. Should be fun to see a fan base that hates Goodell almost as much as we do.

The rule that allows the league to recover costs only applies to owners and their representatives not players.

the only fine I want to see is Goodell fined 1 TRILLION dollars for insulting the human gene pool, along with a mandatory banishing to the planet Uranus of his hysterical harpy worse half, Jane Skinner.

I know it won’t, but this really should put to rest any fantasies of Kraft suing the league for deflategate. Just the threat of legal action is going to cost Jones millions.

This is the greatest post in Patsfans history. Should be on the front page forever.

I think the hate we have isn't even approached by the Saints fans, and they can't stand him.

Jerrah's hearing is Monday. Per the Star Telegram he will be testifying personally and Goodell will preside over it himself rather than recusing himself, 'cause obviously there's no conflict or inherent bias there. Apparently part of the Dallas defense will include the Patriots amicus brief filed in support of Brady. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Fraudger and Jerrah butt heads, too bad the hearing transcript will end up sealed.

Jerry Jones eager to defend himself under oath before Roger Goodell

Article says:
In this case, a large number of owners supported the order for Jones to repay the legal expenses, according to multiple people within the league. One of those people estimated that as many as 29 of the 32 teams are in favor of the league’s action against Jones. The matter was reviewed by owners on the league’s finance committee.
King Roger has absolute power and 29 of the thirty Princes of the NFL are in favor of slapping down Jerruh. There's no doubt how this is going to end.

Presumably by raising this appeal, Jerruh is just raising the amount of legal fees he's going to have to pay.

Keep in mind Jerruh's dislike of Fraudger's contract extension only happened (a) after Jerruh voted in favor of having the Compensation Committee do the contract extension and (b) after Fraudger suspended Elliott and (c) after he told the Pats to take their medicine over Defraudgate.

In short, Jerruh has totally misplayed this, and he's about to get pantsed. The ****head only chose to "stand on principle" only after things went against him. 29 of 32 other owners are totally seeing through him.

Goodell's "suite" is going to be one of the men's washroom stalls.

Goodell's "suite" is going to be one of the men's washroom stalls.

Shouldn't be a problem for him. If his network was comfortable having a female wardrobe stylist work out of a men's room Fraudger should feel it will be more than adequate to his purpose.

You're not putting him in my anus.

Jerruh is now Roger's ****:
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has agreed to reimburse the NFL more than $2 million in legal fees incurred by the league last season in connection to Ezekiel Elliott's suspension appeal and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's contract extension, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Jerruh now has two million reasons to be pissed off at Roger.

Ref: Jerry Jones to reimburse NFL more than $2 million

I am disappointed he went so quietly. Where's the entertainment value in that?

So the guy that said, "If you think Bob Kraft came after you hard, Bob Kraft is a p---y compared to what I'm going to do," turns around and does exactly what Kraft did. Jerruh, you're a p---y. And a hypocrite. And a dirtbag. And [insert favorite disparaging remark here].
