I have to think the Vikings would supplant the Broncos as Cousins number one destination if he wants to win, so I’d be a little nervous about this if I were the Broncos.

I want to see Elway pay 12 mill a year to Keenum or MCcaron.
If I was Elway I would build up the defense and o line then draft a Quarterback trading up if I had to to get my guy.
Doesnt make sense to blow your wad on a QB that may or may not be a fit or be more talented with who you can get on a rookie contract

Is Cousins that good? Not a rhetorical question I really haven't seen him.

That depends on what you mean by 'that good' and who is doing the answering.

Cousins is good enough if the rest of the team around him is very strong. Minnesota would be an ideal fit.

This is all a matter of perception, but I am loving this.

This all can be traced back to 2012/2013 with Ozzie Newsome stupidly waiting to extend Flacco. He waited, Flacco did 12 TDs and 0 INTs that postseason and Kaepernicik'c choke job at the goal line for 4 attempts to score, set all of this in motion.

It's a good thing they got their ring, because at the time, I predicted this all would happen.

Sure, it took a couple of seasons for their cap hell to settle, but here it is.

Pre-2011 and the Lockout, pre-rookie cap, someone like Mark Sanchez was making 17 million per after 1 year at USC. It was the crux as to why the owners wanted the rookie cap in place for the first time ever and how I knew the "paycheck to paycheck", dumb NFL players would be squeezed about it all the way into August of 2011.

So, we're technically right back at where we all started 10 years ago and the owners can all blame Bisciotti/Newsome. Couldn't happen to more of a turd organization.

This is why 75% of the league is in a cap hell or rebuilding with tons of "space" and how I know the Pats will very likely be back in the title game next year, and quite possibly the SB. The NFL's ratings are also dipping, partially because of this market.

Cousins will be the first chip to fall, likely to the dumb Jetsies, then Keenum and then McCarron.

Kennum will fetch low 20s and McCarron high teens. Horseteeth (Elway) will probably go for McCarron. I bet Keenum stays in Minny.

This still doesn't explain the stupidity by other NFC teams not bidding on Garoppolo. BB can't control teams' stupidity.

I felt he was clearly better than RG3. I think he would be consistently good and possibly a SB contending QB on a better team/better organization, which is why it will be funny if he lands on the Jets.

The Skins are dumb. They should have immediately paid him a deal that overwhelmed him once they knew Rg3 was a failure.

So, they ditched all those picks fore RG3, wasted a bunch of time, and then did it again now with Cousins.

If I was a Skins season ticket holder, I would have quit on Snyder a long time ago. He's a complete moron. I don't care how much money he ended up walking into. he knows nothing about football and doesn't understand the salary cap either.

Why? Glennon got 16 last year from Chicago, Keemun would be a steal at 12 million.

his box score stats are comparable to the top of the league leaders at QB.

His win totals not so much. the question is do you blame him, or the dumpster fire that is washington.

Washington fan interest in the Redskins has declined significantly since Snyder bought the team. There have been a few times enthusiasm was resurgent - when Joe Gibbs came back for a second shot and when RGIII was drafted - but for the most part, fans are no longer glued to their TVs on Sunday afternoon. As for season ticket holders, some have given up their tickets, and about seven years ago, the Skins removed 10,000 seats from their stadium that they couldn't sell.
As for Cousins, he is good enough to make it to the Super Bowl with the right supporting cast.

He was smart in a sense that he paid a lot, but he knew the branding was already set, which is why they're the 3rd most profitable franchise behind Dallas and NE. Pitt and GB are obviously top 5, too.

The jerk also charges to watch summer practices.

Easily one of the worst owners in sports. And, going from Jack Kent Cooke to that?

Yikes.

Exactly. And, Keenum doesn't have to settle for that either. Arizona would then likely jump in and start bidding.

Even with a perceptionally DEEP QB class here, it doesn't matter. teams are so paranoid about wasting high picks, they're rather pay for something they've seen, which makes little sense for the cap.

What these dumb owners need is better coaches to coach up the coachable prospects. Obviously, if you draft some guy like a Manziel or whatever, you have no chance.

The prospect's character is as big a deal as his measurables.

Kyle Lauletta's name keeps coming around for me. Screams Patriot at #41 with the Garropolo compensation, which makes a ton of sense.

You'll never find a consensus answer to this question. IMHO he is extremely talented, he did very well playing for a clusterf*ck of an organization, and would succeed in the right situation. If I ran a team in need of a QB, I'd pursue him.

Right. Considering the organization, the lack of talent on offense & all the injuries to skill postion players, I thought he played pretty damn well this past year. He’s a solid QB, but he’ll never be an MVP level QB.
