Would like Bradham as well.
Would 7 mill a season do it?
Also Eagles Lane Johnson said he doesnt think players have fun or enjoy playing for the Pat's and he would rather have 1 Superbowl and fun then have 5 and be miserable.

Johnson thinks the Pats operate in a fear-based system. I think his career operates on a steroid-based system.

Cooks = $8.46M ... turns 25 in Sept.
Edelman = $4.17M ... turns 32 in May
Hogan = $3.28M ... turns 30 in Oct.
Dorsett = $1.54M ... just turned 25 a month ago
Britt = $1.45M ... turns 30 in Sept.
TOTAL = $18.9M

Amendola (2017) = $1.7M ... turns 33 in Nov.

Thomas = $12.03M (2018), $17.53M (2019)
... just turned 30 Christmas Day
The receiving corps looks young compared to who is throwing them the ball.

The Patriots definitely don't need a wide receiver.
They might if Amendola walks and Edelman isn't his old self, although that could be remedied via the draft. I'm hoping the Amendola-Edelman tandem can be kept intact another year or two. I also hope they hang on to everyone else at that position -- Mitchell, Hogan, Cooks and also Dorsett (letting Britt go is assumed). That's six WRs but with this offense it's probably worth keeping that many.

Free agency should focus on defensive help, maybe also offensive line.

2x roid champion, eagles player, lane johnson, is lecturing us about no one wanting to play here in new england

even when we lose a super bowl, people are obsessed and jealous of us

Lane Johnson should talk to guys like Matt Light and Mike Vrabel before shooting off his mouth.

The current wide receiver corps under contract:

Cooks, Edelman, Hogan, Dorsett, Britt, Mitchell, Reedy

Amendola is underpaid, even as a spot player. I hope he re-signs. Does anybody really expect Britt to be back?

None of that is particularly responsive to Tunes' post. Without Amendola and Edelman, you've got nobody to serve as the "slot/3dWR. Maybe if you tried less statistics& data salad...

I listed the wide receivers currently under contract and two viable unrestricted free agents to re-sign.

Tune had already listed all the WRs of note, and the salary information for Slater and Amendola was not at all needed. Did you mean to respond to someone else, and mistakenly respond to Tune?

Mitchell supposedly was ready to go for the playoffs but they elected not to activate him, I'm guessing more for lack of practice reps than his physical condition.
It's conceivable the New England Patriots could carry seven wide receivers on the roster for the 2018 NFL Season:

Cooks, Edelman, Hogan, Amendola, Dorsett, Mitchell, Slater

It's not if Jacob Hollister rocked the world in calendar year 2017.

Inactives: Eagles vs. Patriots Super Bowl LII

Inactives: Jaguars vs. Patriots

It wouldn’t shock me if they picked up a wr in the draft but with the news of Gronk hinting at retirement we have to think about getting his replacement sooner rather than later and this TE class imo is pretty good. I know he’s from a small school but I could see us taking goedert at 31 or with our early 2nd even with the holes we have defensively.

Rob Gronkowski hinting at retirement or a new contract?

Don’t know. Could be postering for a new deal, could be that he’s serious about moving to the next chapter of his career. I would hope the pats have their answer before the draft. Even if he continues playing if the pats aren’t entirely confident that he’s gonna be around multiple years it’s a good class to get somebody and groom to be ready in 2019.
