Reporters are asking Gronkowski if he's going to retire and Gronk says he's going to evaluate things over the next couple weeks.
About 3 hours before the game Mike Florio - who has the same agent as Gronk - tweeted "this is 99% a guess, but I wonder if Gronk is going to retire after tonight".

Come on really? You've watched this D all year. This outcome should surprise no one.

Fifth in the league in points allowed and they gave up 41 to a garbage QB. A guy the Cowboys shut out a month ago. Yes, it's surprising. And disgusting.

BB has a lot to answer for.

1. Wtf did butler get benched for? He had a down year but competes and knows about playing in big games. He makes that 3rd down tackle that Bademosi missed. Huge play. I really hope that I was something physical that prevented him from playing or it's ridiculous. Jonathan Jones injury was bigger than we thought.

2. Why wait until the damage is done to put Gilmore on Jeffery? Too little too late.

3. Jordan Richards? Really? He had no chance on that 3rd down wheel route that went for 50. That was the obvious play call for eagles and even if Richard sniffed it out, which he didn't, he is too damn slow to make the play.

4. Having your SS Chung cover Agholor (9 catches) for much of the game. Total mismatch.

5. Burkhead was underutilized. Made big plays with every touch but barely played.

6. Why keep blitzing? Never laid a finger in Foles and got burned every time.

7. Sitting Branch looks like a mistake. Run D was awful.

Would suck badly if Gronk retires. Edelman is coming back from an injury and he is at around the age WRs start declining. Amendola is a little older than Edelman as well.

This off season could get interesting for our receiving corps.

So Eric Rowe over butler is best for the team? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Because, as bad as they were early on, they scored 33 points. You HAVE to win with that score.

Yeah. To add to the the offense got better as the game went on the the D kept getting worse. You score 33 frigging points in the SB that should be enough to win.

If Gronk leaves its OK.

Anymore his on filed theatrics is like the homeless guy falling down on the bus to draw a lump sum settlement from the city for medical expenses and mental anguish.

If Gronk chooses to retire... wow that would make this game even worse than Super Bowl 42.

BB already answered why butler didn't play. He thought benching him was best for the team..............lol. Yes, BB said that.

If he thinks benching Butler, which forces Chung into corner duties, makes Eric Rowe a full-time player, and puts Jordan Richards on the field for extended periods of time was best for the team... well, I suggest he watch the tape of the Super Bowl.

The offense was complete trash in the first half too. They just sucked for two less quarters than the defense did. Why are we letting them off the hook?

Probably because your analysis is lousy, and the offense was not complete trash in the first half.

The whole Butler thing is getting weird. Wtf, Bill. For the good of the team....?????

Guys stop melting down. You realize other fans come directly to this forum and screenshot this **** and make you laughingstocks on the web.

We loss. It hurts. I have people flooding my FB. But we have nothing to feel bad about. We almost denied that franchise yet another ring. Let them have their victory— they earned it and that fan base (however ****ty it is) has suffered for YEARS.

Brady is not going anywhere, B.B. is coming back and Patricia and McDaniels are leaving; that all equals another run at the Bowl next year. We are still the greatest franchise in the NFL for the past 20 years and one SB loss to a team that seemed destined to win doesn’t tarnish that. We will be back.

I’ll see y’all in August.
