I give the Eagles offense credit for maximizing Nick Foles, timely gambles, and executing. Not their fault the Pats defense isn’t very good.

Not having Butler was just too much to overcome for a defense without a healthy (?) Branch, no Hightower, and the presence of Jordan Richards.

Diddnt sting like 07 or 11. Certainly stung less than loses in 14 and 16 would have stung if they had lost those. Disappointed though since we really were on a roll at one point. Just a few plays made the difference in this one...as usual.

Sucks, but you cant win them all. TB still GOAT, healthier team next year with HT and JE back. Great run, We have been spoiled. TB playing several more years.

Yeah the D fell apart tonight. Eagles were beatable. Whatever. Its house money so its just isnt as miserable losing as it was in years past.

I am not devistated or heartbroken. Frankly, this team has given me a lifetime of memories. I know it should hurt, but it doesn't. Because it was all gravey for me. I don't think I'm upset they lost. I'm upset that there's no more Patriots football. Even had they won, I would still have to deal with personal demons.

I know it doesn't seem like it, but I love all of you posters. Your like a family to me.

I can't remember the last time I was this pissed off at the defense. They completely shat the bed on the biggest stage. I knew they weren't as good as their numbers but even I didn't think they were THIS bad. I figured they are good enough to get a stop every once in awhile.............Oh boy was I wrong.

This defense couldn't stop a nosebleed tonight.

We need better players on that d line. They got mauled by the eagles offensive line.

Only like 3 people on this defense deserves to start a game next season. Inexcusable performance.

The warning signs were there all season but “HOW DARE YOU” if you pointed any out.

Not playing Butler is almost a fireable offense. .

Keeping Jordan Richards on the team was a fireable offense.

It's about Bill's ego. Spent a 2nd round pick on him and can't let it go.

The players that were on field did NOT tackle well.

Johnson Bademosi's missed 3rd down tackle was massive. Would have given the #Patriots the ball back trailing only 3. Felt all night #Patriots needed to be up by a score to hang on.

The defense was shameful.
Brady did what he could with pressure in his face all game. The defense did get a turnover but they kept giving up new life to philly on 3rd down.

I am hurt that Butler didn’t play, sure he had a rough season but come on BB...he has soul, he played hard all season...

Gillmore played well, but the rest of the defense just did not show up. Our linebacker Corp needs to go except Hightower.
Brown in the middle had a decent game.

I don’t know what else to say, I am heartbroken, I will probably avoid sportcenter until draft day. This annoys me to no end, Matt Patricia should have gotten after the defense ass in the 1st qt not the 3rd!

Brady had a costly turnover, he had James White wide open, that was an option, but he was looking for the home run and paid the price for it.

This one doesn’t bother me as much as it would in the past. They didn’t deserve this one, end of story. This defense needs an overhaul in the offseason, as I wouldn’t count on Hightower lasting a full season as your answer.
