What's the difference? Both are mediocre, but our D is designed to make every scrub appear to be as great, if not greater than our own QB. Outside of 08 and 15, I ain't been impressed with the D, nor have I expected anything from them. I sure was not expecting anything from them in this game, and I'm getting exactly what I was expecting, Philly looking hot for a quarter and a half, and doing nothing in the second. Brady will be putting in that work though.

Worst flaw in the defense so far has been horrible tackling. And not just by "the usual suspects". When the defense is playing pseudo-goalline, crowding the LoS, if the tackle isn't made in the first 5 or so yards, the runner has a lot of space after that. Even so, decent open-field tackling that could have limited some of those big gains to 10-15 yards has been completely absent.
Rowe has played pretty well so far. I presume that he started over Butler in part because he had a better week of practice, maybe partly because of his size. And the Pats have been playing 3 and 4 safeties quite a bit.
We lost this game not scoring a TD on those first 2 drives. We literally went down the field all over them and then **** the bed with conservative play calling and then not going for it on 4th.
