There is always a player that no one expects to make an impact on the game but does something to affect the outcome.

If the Patriots win this game who do you think will be the X Factor?

Last year it clearly was James White who seemed to make plays every time he caught or carried the football and I actually think he is once again going to be the X Factor - The Eagles were #1 in rushing defense but mid pack in backs catching passes so this could be another James White show (sorry Burkhead fans)

I'm going to go defense and given the nature of the RPO take Van Noy to cause a couple of turnovers. I've love for Tom to win another MVP but if it isn't him I'd be extra happy to see a defender get it.

Good topic.

I actually think it will be Chung because of the speed Ertz presents and how Chung can get victimized against guys with good range. Anything past 15 yards is a bit of a question for Chung, but he does battle.

I am thinking along the lines of that diving knock down, I think it was early in the Pitt game up the seam. Really nice play, because he's more of a downhill style player and he's just not that "long" as a player.

Basically, he appears better on lateral routes, than the deeper, longer routes in general.
Ertz is a shallow target option for Foles and Chung will likely be tasked to handle that guy.

Or, BB may put McCourty on him when Celek is out therin two TE sets, where Chung takes on Celek.

Or, it's a complete mix and match operation with a combo of Chung, some McCourty and some Flowers, but in general, defending that position I think is big.

Is it me or is Foles not as much of a runner as compared to Mariota or Bortles?

On defense, would it be too easy to say James Harrison?
On offense, I am going to say one of the lineman throwing a huge block which allows for a big play.

Solder with a tackle eligible TD catch

Phillip Dorsett ... Drawing the #3 or 4 cover guy, his speed finally comes in to play.
Brady might throw to him 1-3 times but he would likely exhaust his options before making Dorsett a significant target.

The Eagles NOT having Darren Sproles in the lineup is HUGE. Saying our LBs would be at a disadvantage would be an understatement.

However, RB Corey Clement is a dangerous threat that shouldn’t be taken lightly.

You watch SB 49 or SB 51? He made phenomenal calls down the stretch in those games.

Absolutely. But, he had to. He and Brady stalled out big time in SB 49 for qtr 1 and 3, which is WHY they were behind.

I am not going to point out Brady's first half in SB 51, because I think we would agree he and Josh had to do something to redeem themselves from that.

Is it out of hand to ask for a lead or not have entire quarters, where the offense simply disappears? That's all I am asking for. Some balance, some control, maybe a lead in the first qtr?

O'Brien wasn't really any better in SB 46. BJGE, our lead back, only ended up with like 8 carries total, in a game with a 17-9, 17-12 and 17-15 into the 4th qtr. That's the most ridiculous fact to the point, it makes my head explode.

My point is, there is no reason to be this confused on how to attack with this kind of weaponry.

Agree, but he's not quite the same player he was either. Great career, but he will likely never be the same.

But, why?

Dorsett and Allen need to be "real" options and not just for show.
