I plan to do what I can to ride the politically correct angle on this. It’s wrong on many levels to speak evil on this whole subject

You obviously don't have kids.

Even if you don't have kids a bit of empathy is needed here. If you were Brady and you heard that some lemming on the radio called your kid out of their name, when all you are trying to do is open your life up to the world and show people how you live, how would you react? That is why people are so enamored with this. As well they should be.

Obviously he is free to say whatever he feels. But he is also free to reap the consequences of what he says.

I have a son. Sorry if I'm not crying like a meteor is coming to strike earth over a "the kid was annoying" comment. That's really all it comes down to. That'll be my last comment on this so we don't drag it out another 5 pages

Causality. Patriots limit distractions and this show is the epitome of how to invite distraction.
For those you so thrilled to be watching this, what is your take on how BB views this show?
I know Brady is mentally strong so not worried about it as a distraction for him, but I still worry about how BB will respond. Not sure what his options are though. The draft may hold some insight.

I'm guessing BB is not in favor of this documentary series

And I'm guessing TB is of the opinion "I've done enough and given enough this franchise and played for less than market salary for all of my career; at this point in my career no one is telling me what to do or not do".

Belichick documentary set for NFL Network

I'd guess that Belichick views this show as Tom and his family's choice and nobody else's business. He would have to be one hell of a hypocrite to think otherwise, since inviting NFL Films to document large portions of the 2009 season as it was happening was a much, much greater potential distraction than anything Brady's doing now.

I am sure TB cares less if BB doesn't like or want the Tom vs Time documentary. After Deflategate, TB is not checking in with his boss on personal decisions. The trust part of this relationship ended when BB said something very close to '''I don't know anything about the footballs, you'll have to ask the Quarterback about that''''

Is it a 30 for 30 type of thing?
I thought it was going to be that but it looks like its going to be a series of 15 min episodes about him during last season. It focuses a lot on how he views the game and what he tries to do to stay good, I enjoyed the first two episodes. I'm guessing there will be more to come.

I want a perspectual piece in the history of the phrase ‘like watching paint dry’

Episode 3 out - the social game.

Brady tells Jules to do his [bleeping] job when they are practicing in montana and Jules tries to cut corners. Also, a really sweet scene with his daughter at the end.

Putting together and releasing a season retrospective before the season is even over is pretty risky. He’ll come out looking stupid if we lose this week.

And is kissing your kids on the mouth a regional thing or something?

Another great episode. Loved the scenes with Tommy and Edelman at the beginning. Seeing him call Jules out on slacking off on the route running. Some of the activities they were doing were giving me a bit of anxiety but they were having such a great time. Loved how they were rewatching the SB too just hanging out.

The scene with Jack and Tom was interesting. That kid is 10 and already so ingrained into football. Has a fantasy team and everything. And funny he has Cam Newton as his fantasy QB. I wonder if he would say Patriots if you asked who is favorite team was. I recall hearing before Newton was his favorite QB. From the clip Brady posted on instagram Benny seems to really like Gronk and thinks he's cool. These kids have the GOAT as dad and he's just dad to them.

Tom is 40 and still kisses his dad on the lips. I think it's pretty normal to do with young kids. I did it as a child with my parents. It just seems like something they do in their family.

I mean, I don't kiss my parents, but what's your angle here? Freudian theory? If so, I have some bad news...
I think it has to do with germs. Something about a kid's immune system vs an adult's

I really enjoyed this one. The practice scenes tell you about the intensity of how they push each other.

It also makes me a little sad that Edelman didn't make it past the preseason.

to be fair, the majority of adults in America have HSV-1, although many/most are asymptomatic and may have no idea they've got it, so it's not unlikely.

I dunno, I don't really care either way re: Brady kissing his kids. I find it a bit weird personally since it's not something I grew up with, but obviously he did and I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with it. I mean, if this is what passes as a controversy re: Brady's parenting style then he must be a pretty ****ing good dad.

Episode 3 was pretty cool. I think you could draw a pretty straight line between the work that Amendola and Edelman put in with Brady before the season and the fact that Brady was looking to Amendola to drag the Pats back into the game a week and a half ago. That kind of chemistry can't happen by accident.

depends on the family I guess, but I would assume it is fairly common for parents to kiss their young kids....and even more common in other countries
