Umm, I am well aware and I am so aware that I knew Lombardi had inside info while at NFLN starting in 2010, because he would say something or hint at something, and within 48-72 hours it came true.

Then, we learn BB was using him as a sounding board since 2010, so I had that nailed the entire time.

I also laughed when he fleeced Grigson in the Richardson deal and then got fired for it.

Comical.

I also said hello to him in August 2015 at the Greenbrier. I know who Mike Lombardi is and I also know WHY he's being dramatic, claiming Philly is a disatraous match up for NE.

That's the difference. I know, you don't.

He wants to piss off belichick so he kicks the eagles tin can?

Didn't Atlanta just hold them to 15 pts? Didn't Philly beat two indoor teams to get to the SB? They are formidable but I would argue the Saints would be a tougher match up for the Pats.

I’d agree with that. If the pats hold them under 20 it will be a fairly easy win. Vegas line is -5 still today with 48 points

Nope. Already been over this. Simmons is a homer, so someone ELSE has to take the other side.

Why is this so complicated? I know how broadcast or media production meetings work. They assign people different responsibilities by design and tell them what to say as part of their job, so it appears like there is no bias.

For years and years I've stated 20 is the magic number in this era. Our D needs to focus on 20 points and under, and the offense needs to focus on 20 points or more.

This is why our offenses failed miserably in SB 42 and SB 46.

In general, BB's Ds have been at 19.8 points per game, or better for years and years, even in the lean years like in 2011 or 2012.

The other tell is total points allowed. If I am not mistaken, 300 points or less, has ledthe Pats to SB appearances at the very least. I'd have to double check 2011, but I am pretty sure that is the case.

That D was pitching shutouts in halves like vs Dallas and NYGs, or at Denver late into the season in 2011. They were not all that good, and they were young, lacking some depth, but boy did they battle.

It'd be nice of the offense got off to a good start for once in a Super Bowl in this offensive era.

Yes. This seems to be a sound theorem. On the fast start aspect, I’m going to be really happy if they can get anything at all pats n the first quarter

It seems Rusty from the BDC Pats' forum is back...

and as insufferable as ever.

The clearly need to start these big games faster. Sunday was not good in this capacity and I honestly have no idea why it happened.

Nothing Jax was doing was confusing.

I believe he was already on here as Rusty Griswold and then banned already.

I don’t know, Rusty only knew everything about anything, and Chris knows everything about everything.

Sadly i dont think you do. He made this quote when he was working for bill simmons who loves the pats. The same bill simmons who held an emergency sunday night podcast with mike and his father after superbowl 51. Where they relived the pats comeback like 3 teenage boys who couldnt believe their favorite team just won the superbowl. I am not sure why you needed to list your credencials, no one asked for your resume. What i will say is mike lombardi is not being told to bash the pats by bill simmons.

I wouldn't characterize Lombardi's comments as 'bashing the Pats'.

Wow.

That's what I said. Reading comprehension....Check it out, "sadly", sometime.

Mike Lombardi "made his quote" just THIS WEEK about Philly being a disastrous match up for the Pats.

It's a preposterous premise, but he's doing the equivalent of "hey, look at me, I am not friends with BB and I never worked for the Pats!" routine, but he's swinging too far in the other direction.

Rodney has done it on NBC and Bruchis has done it on ESPN. Old tactic, but when it's too obvious, it's too obvious.

I am not sure how listing your michael lombardi credentials, then making the logical leap that you and only you understand his motivation for making those particular statements can be considered a sound logical argument . I mean seriously man you have no idea why he made those statements and neither do i. So I prefer the simplest explanation, that he said them because its his opinion. But feel free to continue to pretend that you have some magical decoder ring that allows you to read peoples minds.

Isn’t that the rating rex ryan read off the night of the Buttfumble? I think it is. Rex read it at the podium as a way to deflect from Sanchez.

They are not. Passer Rating has been around for dcades with the more important metrics.

The QBR crap is an ESPN thing for fantasy football, which is why Rex Ryan reading off Sanchez'ss "94 QBR" at the podium after the Buttfumble game, was so damn funny.

Good memory, but it was the opposite way around, Rex Ryan was citing Sanchez's passer rating, 94.8, in that post-game press-conference.

ESPN's QBR actually had it right in that Butt-fumble game; Sanchez had a 14.4 QBR.

Mark Sanchez Game-by-Game Stats

So, basically, both stats can be extremely misleading at times.

Again, Brady is the goat, and that's why most will pick the Patriots. Otherwise, what x's and o's reasoning can people give for the Patriots being better? Gronk isn't light years ahead of the Philly TE (not this season) to make up for the huge advantage Philly has on D. It's simply laughable how much more talented they are. Add to the fact, Gronk may not play.

Foles is a # 1 QB on most nfl rosters. He's not a Bortles type where the team will play it safe. Pederson is definitely better than Marrone & Mularkey. Their fans will make it a home game.

So, yeah your damm straight I'm worried. Plus, the team has come out flat in three straight playoff games. Obviously, I've been a pessimist for over a year. I apologized for that. But I'm calling a spade a spade here: Philly is the better overall team.

When I say Pederson is better than the other two, I mean in this way: he doesn't have the type of QB in which you need to take a knee with 55 seconds left in the half. He won't play conservative on a ten point lead.

And once again you make the claim of the Iggles “ huge advantage on defense” while ignoring the questions from people to demonstrate it.

Chris Griswold clarified his bona fides earlier, he said hi to Lombardi once, that’s why he knows so much.

Pay attention.
