Ugly playcalling by McD ....offense struggled horribly for most of game....but came up big when it counted.....unreal is all I keep saying
I thought the play calling was much better in the second half

Even the last drive of the first half

I expected that for 4 quarters but B.B. outsmarted me and held it back until he neded it
Well you also expected a blowout. We can’t be right all the time.

Disappointed in lewis, the fumble obviously was huge, but he also really lacked any real playmaking ability which was sorely needed today. On the fumble play he also had blockers and even though it was a great tackle/strip i was hoping for alot more from that play if he did hold onto the ball. The first down at the end was nice ill give him that but we will need much more from him in the sb.

How can you be disappointed when Cleteman blew the call? It was plain as day that Lewis was on the ground with the ball pinned on his hip. That's control. By RULE, he should have been down.

The only way Cleteman could have called a lack of control was if Jack's hand was between Lewis' hip and the ball. It wasn't. Jack's hand was at the top of the ball and then he reached in with the 2nd one and pulled it out. But only AFTER Lewis was on the ground..

Barfy?

Cant say I get like that.

My wife always asks why I'm not screaming constantly.

Gotta keep your cool, just like Tom

But I actually do! I’m stone faced and I don’t get up or pace or anything. But it’s like I can’t control my heart rate and it feels gross!

When the game is clinched I get up and let out a primal scream. Then I feel better. Everyone in my family really waits for that scream.

I give him credit though, Bortles hung in there. Don't blame him one bit. Jags was good, but I don't think they are this close again.
Yep. He played the best game of his career

The sequence of tweets by Jets writer Mehta is epic

-cheered that Gronk was out
-commented on the quieted crowd
-call the Patriots the evil empire
-pleaded for the Jags to hold on
-cried that Brady, somehow, might just find a way to get it done
-declared that he would NEVER again count out the Patriots
-declared Brady to be the GOAT

If you're on twitter, its epic, his collapse

The offensive play-calling left a lot to be desired in the first half, imho. I was very disappointed at the lack of runs but the Patriots early.. They came out basically gunning it..

Same here. I don’t see how either of these teams coming out of the NFC stops this team either.
same defensive effort, ball in Brady’s hands 40-50 times, hard to beat.

Wasn't he really close with Charlie and Romeo?
Yeah but those guys are old. Matty P and Josh have got to be like sons to him. josh left for awhile but the two of them have been under Bills wing for like 15 years

I actually yelled twice.
When Bortels fumbled and when Dion got that clinching first down.

A lot of people are bringing up the penalty difference between the teams.

Besides 2 pass interference calls and the personal foul called on the Gronk helmet to helmet the game didn't have many penalties.

You really had to call all those.

The refs really tried to swallow their whistles today.

The whining about the officiating is always comical but today especially. The only one that might be debateable was the PI on Bouye. Everything else was obvious.

Jacksonville was called for:

- 1 False Start
- 1 Delay of Game
- 1 Illegal Shift
- 1 Offensive Hold (Wise was tackled. The Patriots declined the penalty anyway)
- 1 Unnecessary Roughness (the helmet-to-helmet on Gronkowski)
- 2 Defensive Pass Interference (Bouye hand fighting & Ramsey pulling Cooks to the ground)

I wonder if Fournette was overused in the 2.5 quarters -- helping get Jax the lead, but then he fizzled out -- as opposed to our D fizzling out.
Once Fournette was a non-factor, Jax couldn't do anything

Other than a 13 yard run Fournette didn't really do much of anything. An awful lot of 1,2, and 3 yard runs.
