The PFWA MVP hasn't been different from the AP MVP since 2003. So it's a pretty good indicator.

Sort of a Golden Globe's version of the Associated Press. Good indicator from the pro's.

Well at least some writers have brains.

Also worth noting that in 2003 the MVP was a co MVP between Manning and McNair so I bet that split the votes a bit more for Lewis. Then they gave it to Faulk instead of the AP's choice Kurt Warner in 2001 (which was too close guys on the same team). Then you have to go back to 1990 to find a different winner (caveat being that Barry Sanders shared the MVP honors with Favre one year). And 1990 was them kind of giving a lay up to Joe Montana.

So in 25 years only 3 times were the awards different 2 involved some sort of Co MVP and the other involved guys on the same team. So it's a pretty good indicator for the AP award.

All question was ended when Wentz was injured.
