We're On To Jacksonville

This season is no doubt, unfolding exactly the way most fans hoped that it would. Facing Pittsburgh ALWAYS causes us the anxiety of beating a capable rival. How many of our stalwart posters here on the fan forum, would not choose to play the Jags? We have to beat someone more to get to our Superbowl game. We have our opponent. We certainly have the weapons and the coaching. It should not be a cakewalk. But it is our destiny! Blitz for SIX. GO PATS GO.

Jags defensive weakness is in the run. have to imagine they will try and get dion lewis going.

Jags defense is tough, but the steelers just put 42 points on them and ben threw 5TD's. (granted 3 were fluke plays)

defensively you have to think the patriots will scheme to stop bortles running lanes and make him have to pass. Fournette didnt look the same 2nd half.
In the Cat we trust

Should win the game but it wouldn't shock me if it's a close game in the 4th. I don't think this will be like the titans game. Our defense has to stop bortles. We have made average QBs look like hall of famers before.

You know the Titans beat them twice already this season? When did Bortles become dangerous? You're the gloomiest person I've ever seen.

When will you people learn not to say such silly things?
  1. Matchups matter
  2. One week does not necessarily transfer to the next

While I agree with this, we've seen Jimmy G and Big Ben both spread out the Jaguars and throw on them all day. They have two great corners, but that doesn't mean that they can cover Gronk and the running backs. Brady will score on them.

If last week is any indication, we're finally getting healthy in the front seven, and can shut down a power running game. Contain Bortles like we did with Mariota, and the results will most likely be similar.

Matchups absolutely matter.

Who, on their defense, deals with Gronk, while having to worry about the great route running RBs out of the backfield, as well as the deep threats of Cooks and Hogan?

My wish list keeps coming true.....another garbage QB coming to Foxboro.
Now all I want is Brees to lose in the next two weeks.
Mariota
Bortles
Foles/Keenum ?

The stars are aligning as we speak...but...Brees needs to go

Keenum is not great but Minnesota is a dangerous team.

If you post anything other than glowing praise of the Patriots and fearless, divorced from reality, bravado, you will be called names, told to kill yourself and stalked by a bunch of infantile, broken fools.

Outside of the game day threads that go in the opposite direction, this forum is like the old SNL "DaBears" sketch. Kellerman may have been on to something for once.
Oh I agreee completely, but the Steelers are a harder match up than the Jags. I rather play Jags than Steelers. A no brainer.

Cooks is a deep threat??

Hey Ash, there's nothing funny about a 9 am game!

Lol, just kidding. I don't drink so I won't be hung over. In fact I'll get home from the gym/breakfast just in time.

JAX offense is not just Bortles. They had the 5th most points in the NFL and 6th most yards. Both better than PIT. That was their 3rd game over 40 points this year, NE has done that once.

Bortles might be bad but JAX offense isn't.
To be fair, 8 of JAX 47 TDs came from punt returns (1), and defense which scored the other 7 ( 5 fumble returns and 2 pick 6's (both off Big Ben IIRC)
Take that out and offense was 12th in the league.....

CREAM CHEESE!!!

I think Ramsey covers Gronk. That should actually be a no-brainer. Bouye on Cooks, Colvin on Hogan.

Pittsburg's sucktitude is throwing off the stats.

OMG I love this thread.
