2018 NFL Draft: TE Troy Fumagalli

Another BEAST TE (who can also block) with injury history. Perfect fit. Only has 9 fingers, but catches EVERYTHING. Add about 12-15 lbs of muscle. Gronk + Galli! Go get em’ Bill!

Troy Fumagalli - 2017

I like fumagalli but its so hard to try to look for a new prospect to get excited for when you see your binky from last year in engram tear it up lol.

How big do your hands have to be if you only have 9 fingers?
Which digit is missing?

Not sure if it's true but I've heard it's better to lose the index than the pinky. Supposedly keeping the wing span of your hand intact is worth more than what we think of as a stronger finger.

He's missing an index finger was amputated shortly after his birth. Hasn't been an issue even made one hand catch last year.

Definitely think he'll be pretty good pro, not a star but should have a long, successful career

Surprised we didn't give George Kittle a look last year. Kittle was impressive on tape even though he looks small he can block with the best of them. Jimmy G likes him in San Francisco. Pats really need to sure up the #2 TE spot with some young Blood Jacob Hollister can't block a fly.

Yeah, Kittle and Engram were my favorite TEs last year. I thought Kittle was an absolute lock to come here, with his blocking skills, the Iowa coaching connection, and our clear need for a #2/#3 TE. So it goes. At least he's balling out with Jimmy: over 500 yards receiving for a rookie tight end with significant blocking responsibilities is pretty good!

Back on point, I'm a fan of Fumagalli. I don't think he's a star, but he's a solid player in all phases of the game, and would probably beat out Hollister, who hasn't done much (but has at least shown good promise).

It’s all about the most mobility at the largest size for the tight end position.

We need to see how they run at the combine.

Not easy to match Gronk's numbers.

Man I loved those two so much (Kittle & Engram)

Engram a lil more but both were crushes. Kittle reminded me a little bit like Dallas Clark.

We could have used both big time. Maybe we get Goedert?

If you could go back in time, would you cancel the Allen trade so the Pats could get Kittle before SF did?

I would in a heartbeat. I thought Kittle was an absolute lock to come here, and he was in nearly every single mock I made, usually in the 4th or 5th round.

Yes, 100%.

I liked him a lot & he reminded me of Dallas Clark 2.0

I had him as 3 rounder but should have graded him slightly higher in retrospect.

We miss our "flex" TE & Engram/Kittle were such a perfect fit for that & us.
