Landon Collins calls Eli Apple "Cancer" during Radio Interview.

looks like Apple will be cut by the giants. Thoughts on him as a player?

Not good enough to justify the headaches. He's had noted problems with authority at every level.

To answer my own question, Janoris Jenkins was also suspended at one point in the season by the team. So that's all four starters embroiled in controversy at some point. Two suspensions, and Collins calling Apple a cancer.

Man they are a hot mess. They are imploding from within. Apparently this has been brewing all season long and has come to a boil now.

Gotta say though, T.O. or Randy Moss never went out of his way to diss a player on national radio and they for some reason got more scorn from the media.

Brady has never done it either and he is reviled by everyone. But that is because he wins a lot. Collins has, for the most part, not be a part of anything involving winning, but yet people will support him in trying to get Apple off that team. Just sad the double standards that exist in this league.
TO bashed McNabb in Philly and he also crapped on Garcia in SF.

I remember the McNabb incident but was the Garcia one while he was playing in SF?

Yep, it was Garcia. Which is why it was funny, the whole "that's my quarterback" speech in Dallas.

Absolute comedy; please let it continue, hopefully with the hopelessly self-absorbed Bruce Arians coming in next year to ensure further dysfunction.

And yet, "Thanks Grandpa" Mara is still revered down there for his alleged "integrity" and business acumen. It must be great to cruise through life with no need for personal accomplishment, no personal responsibility or accountability, showered with adulation and riches, and allowed to run a multi-billion dollar business like a high school French Club, fall ass-backwards into success on the field due to Tom Coughlin, all paid for with money from a family that "your crowd" wouldn't abide by at your country club. I despise Goodell as much as anyone but this pantload "running" the Giants is the real Enemy No. 1. And Thanks Grandpa Rooney and whomever is running (but not actually owning) the league's "special case" in Wisconsin are the primary accomplices IMHO. It galls me how deferential people like Kraft and Jones are to these nitwits who stick it to them whenever they get the chance.

I am not convinced that the mess that is their locker room is something that Josh wants to clean up. I wouldnt be surprised if he actually doesnt take the NYG job with everything being so toxic over there.

clean up locker and their planes

Thanks. Now, how can I get rid of that mental image?

And now Eli Apple's been suspended for week 17 for conduct detrimental to the team.

And now Eli Apple's been suspended for week 17 for conduct detrimental to the team.
Yep, and now he's in deep doo-doo because now he's pissed his mother off:
The embattled cornerback appeared at or near his locker at least five times during the 45-minute period the Giants' dressing room was open to the media, but Apple declined to address safety Landon Collins calling him a "cancer" during a Tuesday radio interview, or Collins' private and public apologies Wednesday.

Apple did tell a group of reporters, though, that "I gotta take a sh--" on his first pass through the locker room. Apple had a hood covering his mouth when he made the comment, so his speech was somewhat garbled. But he also grabbed his rear end when speaking, further clarifying his sentiments as he walked into the players-only section of the locker room.
Eli you potty mouth!

Ref: Apple suspended after making vulgar comment to media

Dude, Eli wouldn't have lasted two weeks here. If you read about his behaviour. He threatened to leave the team after he was criticized in game video breakdown. He refused to do scout duties when he was put on the scout team (he was 10th pick overall and this is beneath him). He got into a tiff with the coaching staff repeatedly about what assignment he deemed worthy of him.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez. Collins is right. Eli Apple IS cancer. Why do they still tolerate him. Oh yeah, since he's 10th pick overall nobody dares cut such a high pick so quickly. Even Pats had Easley hang around with his attitude issues for 2 seasons.
