Official Post Game Thread- Pats with a crazy win against Pitt

That's one of the reasons I couldn't help but laugh at people who were saying that Brady didn't do much. Pittsburgh played almost as flawless a game as they could have, right up until the last two minutes or so. They kept Brady on the sidelines by working the Patriots defense over. They made Brady think by pressing the receivers. They got pressure on Brady with just a minimum of pass rushers.

In the end, it still wasn't enough, but it might have been, if Brown hadn't gotten injured, or if James had just held on to the ball.

Them running the ball effectively really kept our defensive backs on their toes. A balanced attack's very tough to stop. Not having branch hurt. Wish we could get valentine back but he likely's done. Van Noy as well needs to be back and 100 percent.

By the way, it was mentioned on Gameday Prime that 10 of Harmon's 13 INTs have come in the 4th qtr.

What we saw yesterday, in terms of play, was a lot like what we saw in the 2011 Super Bowl.

Wanted to wait until tmw to start criticizing but I totally agree with your point about Cooks. Been saying it for a while but it really looks like Josh has no clue how to use him properly or put him into a position (in space) in which he can flourish.

I am not sure he will ever be a player who can beat man except for outrunning the other player or via the comeback route.

It certainly seems inefficient, but you have to think there is a legitimate reason. Perhaps the drop-off from Cooks to anyone else in his current role is greater than the drop-off to someone else in the preferred role?

now a couple guys in the office - steelers fans - are complaining that no one is talking about the non-call for pass interference by Rowe on the last play.

Harmon’s biggest play was not the INT but the tackle on Smith Shuster on third down with 2 minutes left that forced them to punt the ball back to us.

Oh just stfu Tomase. I'm not posting the link and I'm not reading his crap. Ofcourse him or Borges would bring the doom and gloom article.

You know, if everyone in Boston stopped listening and clicking on their links. Guess what would happen. They would be out of a job. It's all you guys have to do. Why don't you guys just do it?

Didn't click it. Don't have to know what jackhole is gonna say.

In this battle of attrition the 2017 season has become, take the wins no matter how they come and hope for better health in January. Playing without Branch and KVN against Bell wasn't supposed to be easy. That the Pats left Heinz in control of HFA under such circumstances is remarkable and a reminder of how good New England is, even shorthanded.

Any Debbie Downers with a "yeah, but..." view of this win needs to recalibrate expectations.

Regards,
Chris

There is literally not a radio program on the planet that I move more quickly to change away from.

The Steelers and their fans must be crushed...They played the perfect game for 59 minutes TOP was crazy one sided, they got an INT, Bell got to 100 yds plus and they still lost the game @ home. If the teams meet again theyre going to get crushed

Can the pats beat buffalo ? What do you think ?

Yes but at what expense? Buffalo is out for blood ( ACL's; MCL's whatever). I mean you've gotta play the starters to clinch HFA, but your in a bind.
