Kind of odd to play the same twice so close together. If we are to be honest we must admit with the Steelers coming up after and the difference between these 2 teams this is an easy one to look past for us fans.

No such thing as easy games in the NFL and without Gronk it will be interesting to see how the game changes for both teams. The Pats were once shocked by a far inferior Miami team in Miami on MNF in 2004.

The difference between those 2 teams was actually bigger than these two IMO (especially now without Gronk). I think that may be brought up a bit this week as a teachable point. Just FYI I know the Pats have played at miami on MNF since then at least twice. I expect those games to be brought up.

2011 opener? Brady threw 500+ yds including the 99 yarder to Welker.

Pats won it all that year, and smashed Pitt in Pitt in playoffs, so it is not a bad parallel really.

Bottom line is win or lose the Miami game you still need to beat Pitt then win out. A loss in Miami would not be good, but either way they have to beat Pitt still. As long as they beat Pitt, they can afford just one other loss. So the worst losing this game does is make it likely they need to win the next three.

So we need to replace Gronk's 82 yards and 2 TDs from the last outing. How do we do that? Maybe more running game as we ran the ball a lot and got almost 200 yds. in the last outing. I am sure I will be flamed for saying this, but here is where we will miss having a 2nd reliable pass-catching TE. I am not knocking Dwayne Allen here (I concede that his contributions to the team are in blocking and improving the run game, rather than receiving). We are going to need Cooks and Dorsett to step up. It would be nice to get Hogan back for this game too.

I like the Ravens to go into Pittsburgh this week and beat the Steelers. They are playing well, and have no margin for error. Besides, the Ravens know how to finish a game, unlike the Bengals.

I second that notion. I hope the Ravens beat the **** out of the Steelers - both on the scoreboard and in physicality. Let them kill each other. I don't wish upon anyone in particular to get hurt, but I wouldn't mourn too much if the Steelers got a few players injured. God knows we have our own share of injuries.

JJ Schuster is suspended for that game, I believe.

Shazier won't be playing.

Is Brown in concussion protocol after that end-zone crack?

We're on to Miami... again.

LOL... I read your headline and all I could think of was...

Rise and shine, campers, because it's cold outside!

Let's stay focused, ladies and gentlemen. I had to scroll to the next page to find this week's game discussion thread. Getting trolled by haters to talk about hypotheticals and crap about coaching changes is such a waste of energy.

I hope the Patriots are more focused on the Dolphins in Miami than we are.

The Dolphins have added a couple of free agents this week, and indicated that Jay Cutler will start on Monday night. While nothing coming out of Miami is particularly interesting, I still don't like the distractions before a road game in Miami.

Think the Dolphins’ history with the Patriots is ugly? Check out Jay Cutler’s

I would assume not, since he has cement between the ears. You saw how he bounced up from that hit like nothing happened. It would've killed most people.

Keep their DL off of Brady + stop their ground game = profit.

Miami, even at their worst while the Patriots are at their best, sometimes tends to give this team a tough time IN Miami for one reason or another. However, this game isn't that hard to break down. Cutler is not beating the Pats by himself. Control their running game and give Brady time to torch their secondary and this team should be able to coast to a W.

Never forget that game they blew in 2005 I think? Cost the team HFA. Freaking Manning won it that season.

Seriously I hope this team has tuned out the Gronk and Steeler chatter better than the fans.

Swamp-like hot weather is supposed to be the excuse for the trouble in Miami but they are playing at night this time with temperatures forecasted in high 50's/low 60's. I think they'll be fine.

Monday's forecast in Miami: high 70, low 50 degrees

crazy cold, relatively speaking, for Miami!

Now, where did I put my non-flip-flops and those shirts with the extra fabric... you know... I think that they call them "long-sleeved"

If he could just snag 3-4 balls it would go a long way. I’m skeptical.
It seems like Brady doesn't target him (Dorsett) much. Anyone know why? Never open? 4th read? Dropsies (although I don't recall this being an issue)? It sounds like Hogan will be back for this one.
