In Depth look at the Defensive Line

Duke Ejiofor and Vita Vea are probably my favorite at end and tackle next season. We'll see how things turn out, but they're the early leaders. I expect Vea to be a top 10 pick, but I'd love to see him here as a long-term Branch replacement. He is one of the rare players in the Haloti Ngata/Dontari Poe realm. Ejiofor very well might play himself into the upper half of the 1st round with a good showing this season.

Even so, there are lots of talented players who could help our team. We'll see how the season plays out. Only a week and a half until the first game! I'm excited.

@dt
DLiners have my attention this yr. Im not sure Pats are sold on Brown, Branch is probably on his last legs, Valentine's inj. problems are still a concern. I do love Guy. We'll see if Hamilton and/or Kilgo can show some improvement etc. BB philosophy is stopping the run so he'd probably like to add more big bodies.

It will be all about underclassmen though. Still surprised no Nnadi on the list. I see him as a serious option. Also no Richardson who is projected to Pats by some.

The underclassmen crop looks great and deep. So many good options. Greg Gaines who will play alongside Vea could be a nice catch a bit lower if he declares.
Payne, Russell, Mack, Norton, McKenzie all fun to watch..

@edge/DL
Id be very happy w Chubb or Hubbard. Don't sleep on Kentavius Street, also like Roseboro at NC State. Great unit there to follow. One senior under the radar I watched is Alec James of Wisconsin..

@reamer
I wouldn't be surprised if Vea is available for Pats;)

Idk why but I have a feeling Vea might be around for a reasonable trade up if not there for us. It's a loaded class and for example I think James, Barkley and Guice might fall out the lottery.

QB'S, LT, RUSH might push a ton of elite guys outside top ten. Just a thought?

I love Duke. I think he might have been the first guy I brought up in 2018 thread lol.

I'm down to draft RUSH DE'S & IDL Almost every year. Can never have enough.

Love Duke though. So fun to watch fly around. Very good pass rusher and looks like a guy we'd take at 6'4-ish/270 with what looks like decent size arms.

Three dt’s that I think can help us next year.

1.) vea of Washington - large man that makes plays.
2.) hand of Alabama - can play outside as well. Got hurt in the tenn game.
3.) Wilkins of Clemson. The front seven for Clemson is incredibly talented.

This position or ot needs to be our first round pick,

Ps: Vea at 32 and Hubbard at 64 makes this draft a grand slam for bb!

Could we get the 1st rounder Cleveland got from Houston for Jimmy G?
Bradley Chubb and Vea would be great.

Brownies draft Saquon Barkley to team with Jimmy G and go 8-8.

Payne from Bama would be a nice piece to have. Guy is a freak with his power and nasty hands! If he's there at 32 we take him I think unless someone else has fallen that BB likes. Comes from the Nick Saben school of defence... so many interesting prospects this year and really unlike last year there is no definitive pick classed as a sure thing.. think this could be a very good draft for us, mainly because of the positions where there seems to be a lot of depth and good talent.

Going to get round to doing my scouting report on the linebackers.

Hand from Alabama is the dl guy that pops for me on tape. But is no higher than 4th round in my book.

Truth be told, evens the linebacker is a guy I would love to see in foxboro next year!

There are so many linebackers this year that could fit in our scheme. Some are undersized but there are still plenty of options for us.

Nick DeLuca
Jefferson
Carter
Smith

There are so many I just need to find the time to do it all!

If you get a chance watch tape on vita vea. He is a man among boys. The only knock I see is it appears he has t-Rex arms.
